Reviewed By travelerexWe stayed here for the weekend with a few friends and family and it was perferct. The rooms were clean, the green space was all tighty and well kept, the restaurant was great serving amazing mineira food with a friendly staff. The is such peace and quiet in this place that we slept like rocks at night. Shower with warm/hot water was working well. Across the river there was a small trekking trail, good for morning walks to refreshen up before of after breakfast. We had a Saturday early morning start to go to the Prateleiras. I'd say it was very close and convinient to access the entrance of the park (Top entrance to the park). One of our options was Itatiaia...and this would have been quite far. We will be planning more hikes in the area and we'd definitely come back to this pousada!

Reviewed By nancyn677For our surprise, when we arrived at Picus Hostel, the astonished view of the mountains reminds us the trip to Buthan. This is the perfect spot for those who loves the nature, pure air and clean water from the mountains. In a beautiful night, from the deck, you have a stonning view of the sky full of stars and in the morning you are going to wake up with birds flying and singing. Tatá and Felipe are climbers who have been working hard to transform this hostel in a truly mountain refuge where people share their experiencies in a friendly environment. We spent lovely days!

Hidden Gem in most beautiful mountains in Southeast Brasil
Reviewed By MGDiasMy wife and I have spent a couple of days at this bed & breakfast owned by a lovely couple. The ambience is simple , cozy and they really make you feel like being home. The chalet is not very spacious, reasonable for a couple though. The food is awesome, natura, organic and really delicious. We met there thoughtful, very bright and lovely people and when we left we had made several new marvellous friends. Be alert in the programs and activities that happen there like Yoga, Healing music, meditation, Shamanic Rituals and other kind of alternative quest for living in peace and with much love. Definitely we will be back to this wonderful and magic place.

Reviewed By ofelia456This a beautiful place to relax next to Rio and Sao Paulo. Nice pool, breakfast, sauna. Offer lunch (R$35) and dinner (R$25) if you want. Really good food at lunch! Chales 1-4 are the best. Do not offer a proper place to enter the waterfalls, but you can try. Be careful at the cachoeira do escorrega! Danger place
