Reviews on Pub food in Porto Venere, Italy. This UNESCO World Heritage Site was a favorite of Byron, Shelley and D.H. Lawrence. (In fact, if you don’t mind a few rocks, you can swim at one of Byron’s favorite spots, now dubbed Byron’s Cove.) Portovenere’s San Pietro Church was built on the remains of a 6th-century church, which was itself built atop an ancient Roman temple to Venus. Relax and enjoy the boats bobbing in lines on the pretty bay, or daytrip to the Cinqueterre.

This classic family owned Italian shop is a must see when visiting Portovenere! The owners, Cinzia and Michele are so warm and welcoming and make you feel like home. The staff members (Francesca, Antonio, Alejandra) are all awesome too. They have amazing recommendations on what Italian specialties to try and cater to you to really make sure you are experiencing the authentic Italian lifestyle. Location is amazing as it is right on the water, steps away from the beach! Local people from the town all stop by and eat here, so you know itâs good. Highly recommend, made my trip!

Ate at this restaurant on our last night in Italy â We were absolutely devastated we only found this hidden gem before we left as it was our favourite meal on our entire trip to Italy.. and Europe. The food is absolutely incredible, reasonably priced and tasty. We had polenta with blue cheese (Amazing) and pasta with mushrooms. Both incredible. We then had the goulash and sausages with baked beans. Dessert we had the rum cake and caramel panacotta. The real standout was the polenta with blue cheese and sausages with baked beans. The service was also really attentive, with the waiter extremely friendly and hospitable. Would recommend to everyone.

Vintage cocktail bar, tea room and cakes, with a wall full of books, old good music, in an atmosphere of another age.
I often go to Resilience Caffè to have a drink, aperitivo or just a hot tea whe it is cold outside.I do reccomend it because the food and drinks are delicious and also the place itself is amazing.
