My husband and I ate here and were very satisfied with the food and the service. I tried a traditional lake como dish - the perch risotto and it was so delicious. I had it at another restaurant on another day and it was nowhere near up to the standard of Bilacus. Lovely terrace with lots of vines above. Really nice romantic atmosphere. Highly recommend.

Hot and cold dishes to take away. Own production.
We had the fortune of simply walking by while strolling the streets/hills of Bellagio to find this restaurant, how fortunate for us.We received a warm, friendly greeting and were seated and served by a very nice guy GiGi (pronounced gee gee) and I totally apologize for not spelling his name correctly, my apologies, a very polite guy who spoke great English which we always, always appreciate, thanks. We asked him to pick our meals for us which he gladly did and the choices were great, Parma ham with fresh figs, if you love both of these you must order this dish, large portion for sure! more than enough for one person, we shared.Second dish, pasta with black truffles, seriously??? it just can't get a lot better than this dish, pasta cooked to perfection (al dente, thanks very much!) COVERED in freshly shaved black truffles, we were told they were in season, who were we to argue. And the wine, I love Italy...simply ask for red table wine, usually a liter is good, half-liter if you must...The quality is fantastic and hard to believe it's simple table wine, love Italy!So...plan on going to this place for a lunch, mid-day, you'll love it, we did, and would go back in a second!

This tiny little restaurant is off the beaten path on the eastern shore of Lake Como in Lecco. If you are willing to put in your map time, you will not be disappointed. There were only eight tables set up the night we visited. The menu is all about fish. I am typically a meat person, but still enjoyed the fish preparations. The other members of my family who usually choose fish, thought the meal was outstanding. My oldest son started with the fish sampler and said it was the best fish he had ever eaten (he has eaten a lot). The recommended wine was very good, yet inexpensive. Multiple hand prepared deserts were brought out on a cart and served from there. We couldn't pass up. The chef came out and visited with us for 10-15 minutes after our meal. The restaurant is a family affair started by his mom and dad in 1984 and still located in his parents home, although he now lives upstairs, cooks, and runs the restaurant. Reservations are a must. If you find yourself on the eastern side of the lake, give this gem your patronage.

Cross the doors of this place forgotten by time, immerse yourself in the truest past, become part of the history of Lezzeno and of Risorgimento Italy. In the serene quiet of Lezzeno, just a step away from the crowded Bellagio, we offer you traditional Lom
Delicious food, with a beautiful outdoor area. Wonderful and gracious staff who even gave us a tour of the wine cellar and a history lesson on what is possibly the oldest restaurant in Europe. The staff and I thank you for your words. Old and young in the same time: we reopened on June 20th. We are proud to have had you as customers

Had a lovely last evening in Bellagio. Walked from Hotel du Lac to the restaurant, following the lovely lake path to an incline that worked off calories soon to enter our bodies. As we approached the beautiful al fresco dining area we saw several police cars and learned later in the evening that the very discreet staff had been serving a politician or government official in our midst. At the end of his meal, whoever-he-was had a police and security escort as he left. (It is a sign of the staff's professionalism that no other diners knew he was there and the person suffered no interruptions.)The service was exemplary....timing, manners, attitudes. This restaurant was extremely kind to me, a person with celiac disease, and offered an alternate bread basket, lovely GF pasta with white truffles and options for other courses. They had a can-do attitude about making my night just as special as my husband's food-wise. You don't forget places that treat you like this. The food was wonderful...three courses and dessert ....not the tasting menu. We chose a la carte. The wine professional was knowledgeable and assisted with a great selection from three my husband had narrowed down. My husband collects wine but always like to lean on local expertise and try something new when vacationing....the gentleman who assisted was professional and loves his job. We had fun watching a neighborhood dog (VERY well-behaved), waiting down the road for any leftovers that came his way. Precious! Thanks for a great evening with a special setting that cannot easily be matched.

Excellent location on the lake, I recommend booking a table. Food was very nice, I would have given it 5 stars if the squid had not been quite salty.

Typical restaurant with a modern twist. Between the quietness of centuries trees, a large car park and terrace for al fresco dining, few meters from the main beach of the area, with rustic and welcoming style is the right place where to stop for an except
We had arrived in Lierna after more than 24 hours of travel. Il Crotto looked inviting. We were greeted by the owners, ate al fresco with complimentary Procecco. Our meal was outstanding with the owner explaining that each dish including the desserts were all made in-house. What an outstanding ending to a full and tiresome day.

Picked this place as it is in walking distance from our B & B and rated highly on TripAdvisor! Warm welcome and great food! Bresaola starter was filling as was the salmon! For mains, perch and ravioli! Nicely cooked and tasty! Lovely waitress who was learning English and making a good job of it and off to Sydney later this year! Would recommend this place as great food and views and run by a lovely couple!

The Giardinetto restaurant is situated in Mandello del Lario, about ten kilometers north of Lecco on "That branch of the Lake of Como, which turns towards south between to unbroken chains of mountains, presenting to the eye a succession of bays and gulfs.
Went there for dinner and had an exceptional experience from the beginning on with several staff making us feel welcome and enjoyed their attentiveness throughout our dinner.Received great recommendations about daily specials and were very pleased with the presentation and flavour rich starters and entrees. We especially loved how the restaurant both offered lake and sea fish and prepared every course thoughtful.Overall an memorable dinner in a great atmosphere with lake view and very dedicated staff. Bravo!
