Great place to sit and watch the world go by situated right in the middle of the town across from the ferry station. Good value for a meal or just a wine or coffee. Staff a friendly food is good.

We dined here on our last night in Bellagio. We made a reservation through our hotel and asked to sit on the terrace. It was a lovely evening and we thoroughly enjoyed our entrees of ravioli and tagilatelle with meat sauce. Service was efficient and friendly without being "stuffy" and we would definitely come back here again!

Hot and cold dishes to take away. Own production.
We had the fortune of simply walking by while strolling the streets/hills of Bellagio to find this restaurant, how fortunate for us.We received a warm, friendly greeting and were seated and served by a very nice guy GiGi (pronounced gee gee) and I totally apologize for not spelling his name correctly, my apologies, a very polite guy who spoke great English which we always, always appreciate, thanks. We asked him to pick our meals for us which he gladly did and the choices were great, Parma ham with fresh figs, if you love both of these you must order this dish, large portion for sure! more than enough for one person, we shared.Second dish, pasta with black truffles, seriously??? it just can't get a lot better than this dish, pasta cooked to perfection (al dente, thanks very much!) COVERED in freshly shaved black truffles, we were told they were in season, who were we to argue. And the wine, I love Italy...simply ask for red table wine, usually a liter is good, half-liter if you must...The quality is fantastic and hard to believe it's simple table wine, love Italy!So...plan on going to this place for a lunch, mid-day, you'll love it, we did, and would go back in a second!

Opening hours daily except TUESDAYS Lunch from 12.00 till 14.00 dinner from 19.00 till 22.00
My wife and adult daughter had dinner at Al Veluu our last nite after being in Lenno for a month. Wished we had found it earlier. The host and hostess couldn't have been nicer. They were sincere in making sure we enjoyed our experience with them. Seating is in the hills above the lake and was magnificent. We could see the villa we rented in the distance making it even more special for a last nite. The food was wonderfully prepared; brought out hot and served with professionalism. We thought it was a wonderful value and experience.

This part of Lake Como doesn't seem to be doing exceptionally well economically. We noticed a disproportionate number of seemingly closed businesses. There are hotels in this region, and there are probably worse places to base yourself if you're spending time on Lake Como, though the main hotel just up the street is horrendously expensive. We weren't staying here, however; we were here as part of a one day bus tour of the Lakes area. While two of us went to see the gardens of Villa Carlotta which are just up the road, the other two decided to just take a leisurely lunch by the lakeside. We stumbled across Helvetia rather than searching it out. And we are quite satisfied that we did. I've attached a picture showing the view from our table; it's across the road and onto the lake. It's therefore relaxing enough as long as you aren't on a deadline to meet up with a bus, which unfortunately we were. But nonetheless it's hard to complain about a view like that.Service was friendly and efficient; we were seated quickly and provided with menus, and the orders were taken and fulfilled promptly. Again, you can't really complain about that. One of us had cannelloni, and the other had lasagne. Again, I've included a picture of my lasagne. It wasn't exceptional, but it was certainly better than average. I enjoyed it. My partner thought that the cannelloni was about average. At the end, there were clean and well maintained bathrooms upstairs. The cost of the 2 dishes, a half litre of sparkling mineral water and a Coke zero was â¬25, which isn't excessive. This isn't a restaurant that I will probably remember in detail 2 years from now, but the food was good, not too expensive, and the atmosphere was good as well. If we had half star increments I would probably rate it as 3.5, but it's perhaps a little to the north of that so I will give it a 4. If you're looking for a place to eat either before or after visiting Villa Carlotta or perhaps a cruise from the nearby ferry wharf, you could do far worse than to go here. I'd be prepared to recommend it to a friend.

Ideal atmosphere to spend pleasant moments, tasting the true local kitchen rivisited with a little bit of fantasy and with dishes carachterized by local and season products. The pleasant restaurant's room, fully air-conditioned, offers immense windows wit
Lovely meal here tonight the eggplant starter was just out of this world! I had lamb for my main course and was cooked to perfection. I wanted cheese board for dessert and this was not on the menu however Miguel our waiter arranged this for us is. 3 courses and a bottle of wine with fab service and surroundings 125 Euro money well spent and a meal we will remember forever! Thanks - highly recommend from a Londoner whoâs a foodie!!

Had a lovely last evening in Bellagio. Walked from Hotel du Lac to the restaurant, following the lovely lake path to an incline that worked off calories soon to enter our bodies. As we approached the beautiful al fresco dining area we saw several police cars and learned later in the evening that the very discreet staff had been serving a politician or government official in our midst. At the end of his meal, whoever-he-was had a police and security escort as he left. (It is a sign of the staff's professionalism that no other diners knew he was there and the person suffered no interruptions.)The service was exemplary....timing, manners, attitudes. This restaurant was extremely kind to me, a person with celiac disease, and offered an alternate bread basket, lovely GF pasta with white truffles and options for other courses. They had a can-do attitude about making my night just as special as my husband's food-wise. You don't forget places that treat you like this. The food was wonderful...three courses and dessert ....not the tasting menu. We chose a la carte. The wine professional was knowledgeable and assisted with a great selection from three my husband had narrowed down. My husband collects wine but always like to lean on local expertise and try something new when vacationing....the gentleman who assisted was professional and loves his job. We had fun watching a neighborhood dog (VERY well-behaved), waiting down the road for any leftovers that came his way. Precious! Thanks for a great evening with a special setting that cannot easily be matched.

I read the reviews and learned two important things. Even the bad reviews said the food was great. And, the owner takes things to heart. So I followed the TripAdvisor advice and booked a table. What a great choice! Nice garden sitting, lots of space, quick service. They make their own beer and itâs delicious! Original menu, Italian fusion I guess... Every dish was a celebration of quality and tastes. Really, this place is worth a detour. Very different cuisine to most âtraditionalâ restaurants in the area but nonetheless local, fresh and totally excellent.

Have just spent a great week on Lake Como at Hotel Cadenabbia where the rooms were comfortable and the food was of a high standard. The roof terrace was delightful and the recently refurbished pool and facilities were excellent. The Riviera representative named Elizabeth with lots of other names, who comes from Chile did a sterling job throughout the week, nothing was too much for her and she supplied us with useful information on a daily basis. One of Elizabeth's recommendations was that we all visit Bar Victoria on the Tuesday night to listen to The Italian Stallion a local singer. What a great night that turned out to be in a very quirky establishment with the local owner and his friendly bar maids one from Hartlepool one from Doncaster and one from Como a night to remember with classic Italian style opera and assorted standards followed by a good old sing song encouraging audience participation. The drink flowed and a good time was had by all highly recommended if you're ever passing just call in for a very friendly welcome.
