A great place to stay
Reviewed By tomjonWe stayed here for a week in early September. The hotel overlooked the bay, the view from the balcony was beautiful. The pool was large and the beach was private. Breakfast was excellent, you made orange juice with real oranges in a machine, the choice was wide for food, almost anything you can think of. The staff were excellent, your room could be cleaned daily or every two days according to your preferences. Although the hotel is a little old, it was by far the best hotel we have stayed in Crete

This low-rise village style resort is placed on the slopes of a wonderful hill with a breathtaking view of the Mirabello Bay. It is built in traditional Cretan style with extensive use of local stones and wood.

Reviewed By George KThe hotel has a beautiful panoramic view from its restaurant and has an incredible smell of jasmin flowers all over the area. The staff is very good and polite. Breakfast is nice. Dinner as well. Areas are clean. the shower area is very tight. they do not put shampoo refill every day and no soap tablets. All in all good stay for vacations.

The location is also great as it’s just 5 minutes walk to the most beautiful beach of Crete. A special thank you to Aliki and her husband you really made our holidays!!! Reviewed By EmmaRen91Stayed at Dialinas for a week from 10th-17th July with my mum and dad! They stayed there last year and I can see why they wanted to return! Apartment 1 was big,airy,clean and well equipped! The price included air conditioning too! The owners,Dinitra,Yiannis and their 2 sons are lovely. We’d get back from an evening out and be offered food and drink and would sit and chat with them! We were treated on one evening to their son playing bouzouki which was absolutely brilliant! Istron is a lovely village with some great restaurants,nearby beaches and there are beautiful places nearby to visit! Mochlos is stunning,as was Elounda and Plaka! All in all,a brilliant week in the sun. I’ll be back! Emma(Bert and Yvonne)

Some of the best views on Crete
Reviewed By PhilofBeestomWe stayed in one of the maisonettes. These consist of two floors connected by a steep flight of stairs. You enter in the upper floor which has the bathroom and main bedroom. The stairs take you down to a living room with kitchen area, where two single beds are also available. Each floor has a balcony, the lower one shaded, the upper (smaller) one not. As the building faces roughly North, the rooms do not get too hot in the fierce midday sun. Kitchen facilities include fridge, three ring hob, microwave oven & toaster, plus plenty of crockery, implements and pans. Both balconies give extensive views over the Mirabello Gulf. The grounds are attractive and well-planted; the swimming pool is in a well grassed area with views up to the mountains. It takes about 20 minutes to walk into Us from village which has multiple taverns and mini markets; Sandy braces are only about 10 minutes walk. Note that the buildings are up a very steep hill from the main road, featuring two hairpin bends. The owner, Yannis, lives on site and is very friendly - his English is not extensive but he puts you on his mobile phone to a relation in Athens who acts as interpretor! He gave us a litre of his own olive oil as a leaving present!

A great family holiday
Reviewed By janetmEssexEnglandWe booked Villa Melia with Villaplus and have had a lovely holiday. Everything was really clean and contained everything we needed - it was hard to tear ourselves away. Eating out was very reasonable and there are plenty of choices. The view was spectacular and the road nearby was not a problem, the local supermarkets provided the basics, plus a few extras and once again prices were good. The villa was thoroughly cleaned twice each week with linen and towels changed too. The pool was superb and enjoyed by us all.

Reviewed By metge0In close distance from a magnificent beach,mr Stelios and his wife constructed a nice little appartment building with a pool,which they attend and take care off like it was their own home.Their hospitality exceeds every expectation.The appartments are very cozy and will cover almost any need a family might have....but the only reason i'd chose to visit it, is the formidable sea view in the morning accompanied by the buzzing birds in spring time.I absolutely recommend you to stay in mr Stelios' appartments for peaceful and relaxing spring or summer vacations.
