Iâm a regular guest at La Bohéme and I must say that this is the best restaurant/bistro/pizzeria in central Umag. All of their dishes are prepared with care, with quality ingredients and beautiful presentations. Their staff is also very friendly and professional at top levels. This place is good for lunch or dinner, but also for a morning coffee. Prices are moderate, considering its location. In the summertime period, reservations are almost obligatory because this place is full, especially in the evening. This place is a must try if you visit Umag. It wonât disappoint. Curious experience. The restaurant is lovely and the food was good (though my wife asked for her prawns to be cooked further). The initial service was fine. It felt like we were forgotten once the main course was over. We werenât offered a dessert and the bill took a while to come once asked for. All in all it took maybe forty minutes for us to leave after weâd finished our main. Perhaps our waiter had to leave or something? Anyway, it doesnât stop me recommending it, but I canât give it a five on the frustrating end to the meal.

The food is great. Most I liked the food prepared especially on grilled meat. I've tried pork and lamb so prepared and can not decide what's better. I also tried tomahawk steak which my girlfriend is eating. The meat breaks down in the mouth as soft as it is. I certainly recommend a restaurant. The staff and owner of the restaurant are very pleasant and friendly.

We have dined here several times during our 3 weeks at Santa Marina and the kitchen does not cook consistently! The fish plateau for 2 was fried too hard and all fish were dark brown in color. Pizza Da Giusto was once very tasty, the other time the bottom was not cooked unfortunately. Octopus in wine was delicious last week, picture posted also of the layout on the plate. Today was not tasteful and that is put mildly. The octopus went back to the kitchen, but the same octopus came back 15 minutes later. We got a 10% discount and an aperitif from the house as compensation, unfortunately this is not the point. We had dinner at a better restaurants in the area than at this restaurant. And yes, I have lunch and dinner a lot of business, I know what a great eating experience is and unfortunately this kitchen changes too much in quality to cook tastefully every day. But you can be lucky!

We ve visited the place with my wife one of the hot evening in August. The behaviour of the staff was extremly weird. They were very busy and engaged with some big group of guests from Germany. Apart of us and the group, there were about 5-10 persons in place, not more. It was really not very busy day. We have sat down and waited 5-10 for a Menu (!!!) then decided to take it by ourselfs as noone had came. After that, when we have already chosen the meals & drinks, waitress came to us and took the order only for drinks (!!!), saying that the "order" we should make to her "boss" (we have no idea what exactly she mean). Anyway we were waiting for the drinks & "the boss". it took about another 10 minutes"the boss" (another lady) to come (without drinks) and we ve placed order (but still were waiting for drinks). At that moment we were already about 20 minutes there and have neither received the menu-card (which we took by ourselves) nor drinks. The ladies were very busy with the mentioned group of guests and cleaning / rearranging the place after them (as they have left meanwhile). There were 3 ladies which appeared extremly busy with some sort of unimportant thins (like going around and movin the tables what actually could be done by one of her not by all people in the place. After ca. 30 minutes without drinks we have levft the place asking "the boss" to cancel our order.
