Restaurant in fishermen's port. always fresh fish.shellfish,crabs. A beautiful view of the fishing harbor.
Staying at the Kempinski Adriatic. Have been looking for a small, local restaurant to eat in each evening away from the hotel. Two nights ago we found St. Andrea. I ordered mussels to start and have never had them fresher - cooked in a light white wine, garlic, parsley and fresh tomato sauce which was neither bitter nor overcooked which can often be the case with mussels. The chef made a cuttlefish salad for my son and I had a 'caught that day' bream as a main course.Sea bass a second night and will try something different tomorrow.Smiles all round. There is no wine or desert list - take the recommendation from the manager - it's all very casual and he knows his stuffDon't expect pretentious or showy....expect really great fish and seafood, nice but not exceptional wines and a very nice experience all round.Come here for the cooking, the service, the ambience. If you want a small restaurant that will make it difficult to choose somewhere different to go elsewhere every night this is your place.3 evenings in one week for dinner - and each time perfect!:-)

Savudrija has been known for centuries for its fishing history. If you wish to try fresh fish, crabs, sea shells and other sea food prepared in a traditional way, then you have come to the right place. Warm staff, generous hospitality, excellent wines, go
I tend to go to this restaurant on a yearly basis and am pleased that it seems to maintain a good standard. On this last occasion we started with a portion of scallops and a really excellent mixed cold seafood platter. The latter with a couple of slices of bread would make a great light lunch. The fish and vegetables baked in the oven were nice but the fish maybe a little too soft for my taste. Overall still a good lunch.

Fantastic location, breath-taking view to Piran and the Adriatic see from the terrace of Kanova Restaurant. Unfortunately they only had fresh fish more than 1000g (at least for 2 pax) and due to the fact, that my husband is allergic to fish I could not try the catch of the day alone. Therefore we have chosen the beef tartar and for main course linguini with duck ragout and veal medallions with truffle and goose liver pate. The pasta with the ragout had an amazing and unconventional taste it was very delicious. The veal was exactly on the point I wished to have it, the potato mousse was creamy and well-prepared. For dessert, we tried the cheese cake and the truffle fusion which was also a very interesting creation. Beside the location, view and food quality I would also like to highlight the service at Kanova. It is very attentive, professional and friendly our waiter was a great company through the evening and his service made the whole picture and the dinner really excellent. It was a very nice experience and as we are loyal guests in the hotel Kempinski we will probably return to Kanova as well.

Visited the restaurant for dinner today. The place is cozy and has a nice ambiance. The service is key to the success of the restaurant. Extremely friendly and helpful. I ordered the octopus salad followed by scampi accompanied by some good local wine. The meal was exceptional and in fact cheap. Well done

A small family owned restaurant, with a hospitable and relaxing atmosphere. Our dishes are exclusively made with the best and the most fresh fish of the Adriatic sea, and cooked in the most traditional way.
The location is a nice privat garden like terrace. Had chosen the fish plate for two people. Most of the grilled mussels were cold and two of the whole grilled fish tasted awful like bile. The waitresses are little bit like a good cop bad cop team ;)We are very sorry that you did not appriciated the dinner, but we have to confirm that we offered you to change your fish and we have to say that the fish was fresh. The issue was in the fish evisceration.Best regards Manager.

a very nice restaurant, we had dinner outside, under the kiwi, our main was a seabass under salt, that is the best way to test the quality of the fish. It was really very good!Price within expectation, not cheap but in line with the quality of the food and a great service

When booking the table we knew that the restaurant had been ranked very high. Arriving, the exterior is extremely smart confirming you are about to experience above average offering. What comes as an unexpected surprise is the hospitality and the warm and genuine welcome of restaurant's staff. Which, interestingly, comprises of the owner and the family. The head, Fabrizio is the chef in charge of producing exciting and creative tasteful dishes. His father and wife take care of pampering the guests. As to the food: the Mediterranean, with the discrete twist of cuisine nouvelle. well presented and artistic. When you add the rich Wine List, your satisfaction is guaranteed. In closing, if around Umag area, don't leave the city before checking Pergola. Trust me!
