We loved eating here. The food was delicious. We had the Brunch, Israeli Brunch and chocolate crepe. The brunch meal comes with eggs done to perfection, delicious fresh baguette bread, choice of croissant (melt in your mouth!) etc. We tucked our eggs into the croissant and it was scrumptious!! The owners are French and their product is authentically fantastically French. The restaurant is also situated just off the quaint Kikar hamusica street (with all the small umbrellas overhead). The seating is in an outside courtyard shared with other restaurants. There is a stage where musicians play live music. Such a great vibe and peaceful place to have a meal. Would definitely come again!

Atalya

Must book in advance! Atalya Ein Mor was born and raised in the picturesque village of Ein Kerem. Following her work in renowned restaurants and years of preparing food from a simple need to create, she decided to combine exquisite food, breathtaking view

Dining with Atalya is an unforgettable experience that you will want to share with your friends and family because words cannot do her hospitality justice. I was lucky enough to be invited to a dinner hosted by Atalya at her lovely home for a close friend and the meal was easily one of the best I have ever had. However, to comment just on the food alone would be a disservice to Atalya, as the experience encompasses far more than just a meal. Beginning with cocktails and a sunset view from her roof, Atalya was a cultural ambassador for Ein Kerem, describing the historical, cultural, and culinary significance of her beloved home town. And this unique joy and attention to detail carried over into the meal, a multi-course feast that fully displayed all the region has to offer. From ceviche to spinach in phyllo to fresh fish and lamb chops with tzatziki, during each small course Atalya told us charming stories about her quests throughout Ein Kerem, Mahane Yehuda, the Old City, and Mea Shearim to find the best local ingredients and rediscover the traditional ways of turning these ingredients into the iconic dishes for which the region is now famous. Even the local wines, paired expertly with each course, were accompanied by tales of similar artisans and their crafts. And of course the meal concluded with some phenomenal desserts with local influences. In short, if you dine at Atalya's you will definitely have a great meal, but you will also come away with a deeper appreciation of the city, the region, and its food and a fantastic memory of an experience that will not soon be forgotten.WOW! you made me excited do much! It's so great to hear you describing your experience hear. Thank you for noticing all the little details and remembering it. And thanks a lot for your will to share it with me and with the readers.I'll be more than happy to host you again- maybe this time for a workshop so you'll be able to cook some of the things back home (but then it comes with out the stories, lol )Best Atalya

Katy's

We discovered Katy’s French and Seafood Restaurant in July 2017. Another diner recommended the Veal Schnitzel and it was the best Veal Schnitzel I have ever tasted. My partner had the Duck back then, it was also extraordinary. Last night (our first night back in Jerusalem for over 2 years. I was craving another Veal Schnitzel. I didn’t believe it was possible but it was better than last time. It was cooked to perfection, subtle lemon accents within the light breadcrumb cooked in butter. Vegetables perfectly presented and cooked. We enjoyed a lovely bottle of Jerusalem Cabernet Sauvignon. Katy was her beautiful friendly self. This is just not somewhere to enjoy exceptional food it’s an experience, something that you will not find elsewhere in Jerusalem. We can not wait to return, to enjoy a wonderful night out, we will probably keep talking about it often until that time comes. Thank you again Katy for making our Holiday to Jerusalem memorable again. We are so grateful that you took the time to write such a wonderful review. It's customers like you that trully appreciate and enjoy what we do that make us strive for perfection. Looking forward to seing you again.

The Culinary Workshop

We chose this restaurant because of the good reviews. The restaurant was very crowded, very noisy, we had to ask the waitress several times to lower the music volume. The seating is not really comfortable, meaning that for the price we paid, I would expect more.We were a large group so we did order quite a large part of the menu. As to the food, some members of our group liked their food and some were truly disappointed. Therefore my review is written with mixed feelings. Maybe one should not come over the weekend? I personally ate in better restaurants in Jerusalem for less.

Mistabra

Nice and cosy dairy restaurant in the heart f Rehavia, Jerusalem. Breakfasts, pastas, cheese platters, salads... Healthy and fresh kitchen. Kosher lamehadrin.

Although the name of the restaurant is a bit unusual, it’s an expression in Aramaic from the Talmud meaning « it appears that...» or « it turns out that... » or in French « il s’avère que... ». Well, « it turns out that » we were extremely surprised by the excellent dishes from the salads, pastas (even gluten-free), sandwiches, draft Israeli boutique beer, and above all the super delicious crème brûlée. The personal service also « turned out to be » surprisingly fantastic as compared to typical Israeli restaurant where this taken for granted commodity in Europe or in Northern America is not often found. « It turns out that » this is probably one of the only restaurant in the area of Gaza street to be kosher. Thanks Armand! Hope to see you soon!
