Senglea (Maltese: L-Isla [ˈlɪslɐ]), also known by its title Città Invicta (or Civitas Invicta), is a fortified city in the South Eastern Region of Malta. It is one of the Three Cities in the Grand Harbour area, the other two being Cospicua and Vittoriosa, and has a population of slightly below three thousand people. The city's title Città Invicta was given because it managed to resist the Ottoman invasion at the Great Siege of Malta in 1565. The name is Senglea since the Grand Master who built it, Claude de la Sengle, gave this city a part of his name.

Perfection. It is a strong, subjective, controversial and hard-to-define concept. But we are driven by that Holy Grail - to create the perfect pizza. Sometimes we get it right. No. Most times we get it right. Every single detail is taken care of. Leave no
We decided to free-style this trip to Valletta rather than pay the exorbitant tour price. It costs 2 Euros each to travel on local buses from anywhere on Malta mainland. Valetta is a good sized city with plenty to see and lots of places to eat. We took a while reading various menus and checking out the many resturants.Margos appeared to be genuine, serving real italian pizzas without the false frills of chain resturants. What's more the local Maltese people were eating in there which is always a good sign. The staff were very prompt, polite and helpful. The chef/owner even came out of his area at one point and approached our table briefly to speak with us, which was nice. Our pizzas were scrummy and just hit the spot.

Always try to sample an many different restaurants as possible on any trip, but we ate here twice on consecutive nights as the food was so good. Their burgers and pizzas are exceptional and they understand what a side salad is! Very good value too.

This is a great restaurant serving italian cuisine mostly. We enjoyed homemade pasta stuffed with rabbit and gorgonzola, 2 different dishes, very good. We also had pizza we enjoyed very much. The staff was friendly and accommodating. I definitely recommend this place. Great value for money. Don't skip it, it was worth half an hour waiting!!!!

Sotto pizzeria italiana, rising up a72 hours, a mixture of selected 4 flour to eat the real Roman pizza. Sotto pizzeria italianaSouth Street in Valletta, 32.
This was recommended by a local. We couldn't get a booking as they were apparently full, but we decided to turn up and try our luck. Fortunately we were able to join a communal / shared table - which was relaxed and buzzy. Had a delicious pizza with truffle sauce - yum!! Fast professional service, nice decor, great tastes, fair prices.
