With a distinct relaxed atmosphere and elegant, airy decor, it is the perfect restaurant venue to enjoy dinner with friends and family, or have a tasty working lunch with colleagues. Our renowned chefs have developed an a la carte dinner menu that combine
There is a pretty good reason why on a Saturday night you cant find a table anywhere in Valletta.. but l Artiglio is basically empty. The Atmosphere is terrible and this includes the lighting (too much), the decor (shabby) and the music (loud and inadequate).I decided late to go for dinner in Valletta and called around 10 restaurants before finding a table at l Artiglio. On my arrival I was immediately shocked by the interiors of the restaurant which looks more like a canteen. Knowing that finding a place anywhere would be close to impossible we decided to stay. Only another two tables were occupied and one, very nice, waitress was handling it all.The biggest pity is that the food is actually very good and well presented but for sure the overall experience is not at par of what Valletta is offering today.Definitely needs an overhaul. Would avoid for a nice dinner. More adequate for a good lunch.

Looking at both their online menu and the fact that this is TA's #1 for "fine dining", we expected to have something rally fancy. The clues should have been there when we arrived at 8pm - the only people in the restaurant.Lovely modern decor, but a very dated menu - things like duck à l'orange, chicken marsala and beef wellington. Prices are also relatively high by Malta standards. We opted for just a main course. My wife had the beef wellington: nicely cooked except that the pastry on the bottom was raw. The waitress said this was because the beef was medium-rare, but my wife is a brilliant home cook and said that the trick is to cook on a rack so the heat gets to it - sear the meat all round, higher heat for 25 minutes etc etc. I had the beef fillet, which was nicely cooked. The asparagus that came with both meals was way over-cooked, stringy and limp.Considering that we were on our own for an hour, service was quite poor. They did bring us two lots of free drinks at the end, which was nice. I wouldn't go back there again.â¬99 - definitely not worth the money!Dear David,Thank you so much for taking the time to review us and note that we are number 1 on TripAdvisor for fine dining, something we worked very hard to achieve. We are so fortunate that over 92% of our guests ranked us as either excellent or very good with the majority being 5 star.So we are very disappointed that you did not have the same experience and I did send you a private message to discuss your evening at 59.We appreciate your kind comments on our lovely decor and that we gave you two rounds of complimentary drinks. Regarding our "dated" menu these are classics and sit next to many contemporary dishes. However the menu is on the website, social media and at the front door and you stated that you did see the menu before dining with us so I am not sure why the comments calling it dated. I would appreciate the opportunity to discuss further and ask you to get back to me on the message that I sent.We would love to welcome you back to 59 and show you what the majority of people experience.

In the historic city Valletta, Taproom is a new contemporary concept restaurant serving lunch and dinner and also late night drinks. A vintage bar and a cozy chill area on 53a Old Theatre Street. The Brasserie is a relaxed and welcoming social space to me
I didn't like the bar table given to us, I didn't like the attitude of 1 of the waiters and finally I ordered a fillet steak steak medium cooked but got it well done instead. To be fair the other waiters were very nice and to compensate the owner gave us a liquor on the house to compensate. Too little too late in my opinion

Server very friendly, but food was very low quality! Ordered the marinated chicken burger- only to get a cheap tasting processed chicken burger. I could have got the same quality from a take away shop for a quarter of the price! Definitely overrated for what is it! Beef burger wasn't great tasting either, you can tell it was cooked from frozen. The doubled dipped fries were over cooked as well. The food is nicely served, but the quality of the food is appalling! I will not return.

My girlfriend and I wanted to try this new place, we already knew the location since we have been living in Malta for a very long time and we love that spot of Corinthia Hotel. Everything was simply perfect from the booking, the very warm welcoming, the professional service (congrats to Nicolai and the sommelier which I donât remember the name), and the superb food. The chef came personally to our table explaining us about the degustation menu and telling us about every single dish. We are long time clients of the company, but this place overwhelmed the previous experiences with them. When we finished the main we had to skip the dessert since we were too full, and we asked to see Chef Yushi again to thank him personally for the amazing food experience! Very well done guy! Thumbs up!

This was our second visit first was drinks only this time we decided to eat also, starting off with cocktails, (slightly disappointed there was no prickly pear juice to make my original choice) but the 2 cocktails I had were superb and professionally made just watching the cocktails maker was an entertaining experience, the waitresses were very efficient and knowledgeable. We had two snacks as starters the belly pork and hummus both were superb. A little later we ordered more drinks and food we had fried chicken the prawns with squid orange fries and kamchi all were very well prepared and tasty with intense oriental flavours coming through the dishes, for a nice chilled out evening with flavours to really hit the spot I recommend a visit you will not be disappointed, if you enjoy real food and drink in a contemporary atmosphere this is the place for you. Thank you so much for your kind words! We are trying hard on a daily basis to be able to provide high quality product and service. It's always a pleasure to see our efforts been appreciated :)Hope to see you again sometime soonBest regards :)

We were in St Julian's Bay for just 1 week and wanted to try many of the top rated restaurants. We ate at Maltese Mama, Storie @ Sapori, Biancos, 1927, Wigiâs Kitchen, Le Majoliche and here. The good news is that they were all very good so if you are staying here you are pretty much guaranteed good food.In the face of some stiff competition we thought this restaurant was the best all round dining experience of our week. Excellent service, beautifully presented and delicious food, lovely setting in an outside courtyard â and good value too.We were given a complimentary amuse-bouche and shared a prawn starter which was amazing. My wife had a fillet steak which was beautifully cooked and I went for the oven baked fish of the day which was also excellent. All washed down with a very nice bottle of Primitivo. We didnât have room for desert! You should east here.
