We ate here on our first night in Malta, having arrived late after an afternoon of travelling. We wanted some quick and easy food and this place was perfect for it. To start, I had some deep fried mozzarella with a mango chutney. It wasn't anything special but it was well prepared and tasted good. The fritter was crisp and well cooked and the cheese inside tasty, if a little rubbery. We then both had pizzas which were very good. We tried two of the vegetarian pizza options, mine being topped with pesto, mozzarella, tomato and rocket. The pizza was really well cooked with a lovely crisp base and delicious toppings. We thought that the choice on the menu was very good with a nice mix of different foods and very affordable drinks. The service was good and the prices extremely reasonable. For a more casual dining experience, I would definitely recommend it.

This celebrated a la carte restaurant is an authentic Maltese bistro under a rustic vault ceiling with a beautiful terrace; the latter being filled with flawlessly presented tables all year round for the enjoyment of a sumptuous al fresco meal. Al Ponte i
As a family of five, we found this restaurant to be amazing with children, exceptionally well priced and offering a brilliant variety of well cooked food. When traveling I have rarely come across a place which satisfies my children and myself so equally. I love a curry, especially a beef curry. My children are always delighted with a pizza. This restaurant also has a fine dining floor above the pizza floor. There is a decent view out across the hills to the sea. Downstairs there is an english pub which was also delightful.

Our name is derived from the historically significant Westreme Battery that is located just around the corner. Built by the Order of St. John in 1715, this was actually the first line of defence breached by the French invaders in 1798. Over the years, the
This restaurant is right on the waterfront on Mellieha Bay and did have a lovely relaxed feel to it.All the food we ordered was delicious, we ordered some Burgers, a Spicy Italian Pizza (best Pizza in Mellieha) and a Salmon Salad which was huge. We so enjoyed the main course, so decided to order desserts. A Fudge Cake, which was large and good, a Mixed Berry Cheesecake, which was nice although the texture was a bit more like a mousse, and a Strawberry Ice Cream which was delicious. Oh and a glass of Baileys, which are never big enough.

I really thought they had meet thier match this time. Normal service along with a large wedding reception ? there was no way that they could supply the high standard that we have had in the past with all this going on.But they meet the challenge and Matthews team really showed what they were made of. The delivery with a chatty smile of a so tasteful meal and a beautifully recommended wine was perfect.I keep being reminded by Tripadvisor to recommend a dish. I can't, because it's one of those places where your enjoying your meal, yet you still see wonders being delievered to other tables around you and promise yourself you will try that one next time.If they ever have a food tasting night, I'm going to get a very expandable belt.Thank you for wonderful evening.

Myself & my partner had the maltese board starter which had enough food to be shared between 4 easily, it had various cheeses, olives, tomatoes & breads etc and was lovely and tasty! I then had the seafood pasta which was brimming with king prawns, clams & mussels, very tasty and a huge serving of pasta with a light sauce of white wine & garlic which went perfectly with the seafood. Partner had the vegetarian ravioli and loved it, all the food was tasty and huge portions! Didn't have a pudding as we were too full but all options sounded and looked fantastic! 2 courses, a bottle of wine & a bottle of water was around 40 euros which we thought was well priced.Dear Guest,Primarily I would like to thank you for you kind feedback. We are pleased to read you enjoyed your dinner experience. We sincerely hope to see you again during your next stay in Malta.Sincerely,Martha
