We visited for dinner... A lot of points to make. Food was by far below average... Pizza bland, pasta bolognese overcooked and no particular taste to it, calamari fritti were probably the biggest let down for a fish place... Soft, chewy and not tasty. The worst of all.... The wine.... Red wine menu, clearly stating McGuigan Black Label Shiraz Hunter Valley, however the bottle shown in the photo was actually brought...'South Eastern Australia'. Very distasteful to claim to provide a bottle from a viticulture background such as Hunter Valley and then bring a South Eastern Australian downgrade.. Dear Customer,we are very sorry of reading this review. I have been working at Piùtrentanove for 10 years, as owner and as cook at the same time, and since I prepared by myself the dishes you mentioned, I can answer to all your points. I can state, with no doubt, that the pasta was not overcooked (but "al dente" in perfect italian style) and the "ragù" (bolognese sauce) is one of our "forte", I prepare it with my grandma's recipe, a tuscan one that is a guarantee of taste. People usually come back for it and for sure they come back for my pizza: everyday I prepare the fresh dough and I use high-quality products, I am sorry if you didn't like it and found it bland, I invite you to come and try it again and maybe you'll change your opinion. About the calamari, I can simply reply that I buy them from a well-known fish shop that sell the best fish in the island and in these last weeks many customers gave their compliments on my "frittura di calamari". Lastly, I didn't understand exactly what happened with the wine, but we have no pictures of any bottle, so i don't understand what you are talking about...We have a large selection of wines and detailed description of them. Anyway, I suggest, for next time, to inform the waiters if you find something wrong with your food, it will be our pleasure to verify if the pasta is overcooked ot the calamari chewy, and we'll see to having them prepared again for you.Best RegardsFilippoOwner and cook at Piùtrentanove
Where to eat Cafe food in Qala: The Best Restaurants and Bars
After spending the day down at Hondoq Bay and, in true English style, spending a little too long in the afternoon sun, I was walking back up into Qala when I walked past the Stoneage Bar....and felt its cool air (and also it had beer).Stepping inside it was such a blessing to escape the heat of the day and the ice cold Cisk went down a treat. The guy serving wasn't pleasant and the place is outfitted in all manner of items which officially makes this a "Gozo Man Cave". Great place and will come back here next time on Gozo.

We had a lovely meal here during Christmas 2018. The restaurant was quiet but the food was good, freshly prepared and a very good price. Not high class cuisine but family fare. Service was good and nicely relaxed, We would recommend.

Situated in the main square in Nadur, this fantastic little bar has a full wall of beer fridges full of delights from around the world. Spoilt for choice with a warm welcome and an appropriately matching glass for your beer of choice. Lots of other spirits and wines also on offer. Limited seating inside spills out to two enclosed outside areas with gas heaters for the chillier nights at this time of year. Well worth a visit for real ale lovers

Having just completed the coastal walking tour around this amazing island, we took the bus back from the coast to the village square! ( 70 miles in five days! ) Choosing where to eat we were draw to the unique interior and warm welcome we received at Rubbles! What an unusual interior, very friendly staff and we loved mixing with the locals. Food was delicious, very well priced good mix of specials as well as comprehensive regular selection. We were given a complementary tasting platter while waiting for our food, very delicious , thanks, It was too. In addition we were offered a lemon liqueur or coffee on the house. Very generous.Wonderful atmosphere, delicious food, lovely local wine. Highly recommend.Only negative and nothing to do with the food was our nosey neighbours, who couldnât help notice my husband looking at accommodation listings and tried to push their b an b on us not only once but twice. Network by all means but draw the line at invading others personal stage.Thank your Rubbles for a wonderful local atmosphere experience.

Been to Zeppiâs previously, but didnât realise that they were on TripAdvisor !! This lovely quaint Bar by the lovely church in Qala is a must-visit. Very welcoming to all, and now serving the Locally brewed Lord Chambray beers on draught as well as the previously stocked bottles. Open all day Tuesday to Saturday, with limited opening on Sunday and Monday.
