We were a group of 9 who hadnât booked a table but the staff could not have been more helpful, providing a table after a short wait while we went for a drink. The food and wine were superb and the staff friendly.

Situated in the heart of Xaghra square, right beneath the impressive church walls, DVenue restaurant is a new modern establishment with a touch of a rustic feel. One can enjoy the lively square, while dining in the upper terrace or simply sip a cocktail i
First time we have eaten in this Restaurant. We are very glad we did. Meal was superb. Staff were excellent. When we arrived we were shown to our table in the terrace room upstairs. A wonderful tile floored and splendid decor. Nice furniture and tidy place settings. I started with the fried calamari. Presented well in a bowl with a little rocket on the plate. Very good. Main meal was a fillet steak. Huge and cooked to perfection. The chips were crisp and a selection of vegetables. My wife had stuffed chicken breast. This was also excellent. Sweets were various and we had a selection of several ice creams. Wine list was good. Service excellent. All in all an exceptional evening and meal.Would thoroughly recommend. We will return on our next visit to Gozo

Having just completed the coastal walking tour around this amazing island, we took the bus back from the coast to the village square! ( 70 miles in five days! ) Choosing where to eat we were draw to the unique interior and warm welcome we received at Rubbles! What an unusual interior, very friendly staff and we loved mixing with the locals. Food was delicious, very well priced good mix of specials as well as comprehensive regular selection. We were given a complementary tasting platter while waiting for our food, very delicious , thanks, It was too. In addition we were offered a lemon liqueur or coffee on the house. Very generous.Wonderful atmosphere, delicious food, lovely local wine. Highly recommend.Only negative and nothing to do with the food was our nosey neighbours, who couldnât help notice my husband looking at accommodation listings and tried to push their b an b on us not only once but twice. Network by all means but draw the line at invading others personal stage.Thank your Rubbles for a wonderful local atmosphere experience.

Casual dining Restaurant open daily for Dinner and Sunday lunch including a Wine Lounge also serving platters. Amazing views of Citadella, Gozo's ancient capital city and open country views.
Had a delightful dinner at Brookies Restaurant during my short stay in Victoria. First of all the place looks fantastic, it used to be a farmhouse and has 300 years history. My attention was caught by a salmon with white chocolate sauce and black caviar, which I eventually ordered. The combination of these ingredients tasted divine. I had local white wine (La Torre, highly recommended). My partner went for a duck in strawberry and fig sauce which was also very yummy. We shared a chocolate fondant dessert at the end. The staff was very friendly, the waitress only forgot to place our dessert order and it took some time to get it. All in all, it's a great place and a good value for money.

Located in the heart of Victoria, just one minute away from the bus terminus. Coffee Break is the ideal place for either a quick lunch or for a quick coffee during breaks in the working hours or for a relaxing lunch/coffee. The menu gracefully combines al
We were looking for something to eat before our next bus and we found this place conveniently located near the bus station. We set in their outdoor yard and ate local ftira, bread stuffed with olives, capers, lettuce, tomatoes, tunafish and local cheese. The food was delicious and I particularly enjoyed the local Gozo spicy cheese.

Visited this restaurant on our first night with friends on the off chance!Excellent service, food and the general ambiance is good.Starters were out of this world grilled calamari which was so tasty and tender. For our mains:Two of us had the local fish â lam pukiâ which was â filletedâ at the table and the other two had rib eye steak all served with fresh vegetables.Overall the meal was very reasonably priced with very generous portions.Highly recommend what a find. Could not fault.

Excellent food with good quality beef cooked very well.Lovely ambience with attention to detail. It was all marred when the bill came.32 euros for a 300 gram fillet in the middle of a little village in Gozo ?Desserts priced at 6.50 euros. A wine list with a large selection of high end wines and a very small choice of mid end bottles.A great pity considering the potential.

A beautiful venue, excellent service, and such good food! This is the second time I celebrated my birthday there..and each dish was amazing (and the birthday cake). Vegetarians are catered for, and personal attention is given to special requests. Thank you Joseph, and your team!

We had two excellent meals here and in May and decided we must go back, so here we are.Very busy Restaurant on the Square in Xaghra.Shown our booked table immediately on arrival . Menus and wine list presented quickly. Ordered aâ specialâ pork belly with crispy skin and sea bass stuffed with prawns. As a surprise we were given a small cup,of onion and potato soup, and accessories while waiting for main. Sea bass was excellent as was the pork belly that I had. Itâs unusual these days for it to be served with crackling skin. Good vegetables including roast potatoes. Good wine list to choose from including local beers and local wine.Excellent sweet menu. Staff and management very attentive throughout. Once again I must add that you must book in advance at these top rated Restaurants. People do get turned away.Would thoroughly recommend this Restaurant. Not expensive for the quality of food served.Ps. We have already booked to return this week

A family orientated restaurant with beautiful sea views of St Paul's Island, Comino and Gozo. It forms part of the Malta National Aquarium Complex
Lovely pizza (nice and thin and crispy), great location but perhaps a little overpriced. 4 of us ate, and 3 of us had the mexicana pizza - not as spicy as any of us would have liked however - but this did not distract from the quality.
