Sizigia Hotel is located in the heart of an old cove in the Pedro Montt neighborhood at Castro city. The actual building is a heritage rescue from an old palafito (stilt house) from 1930's which is conditioned with 8 warm and cozy rooms,built in native wood. a coffee shop with an amazing view to the Castro bay and a fine handcraft store characterized by the innovation and design.

Reviewed By dianaprestonThis is a delightful boutique hotel in one of Castro’s historic palofitos - houses on stilts. The interior is modern, spacious, with lots of light wood while preserving the character of the original. Our comfortable, well appointed room had a superb view over the estuary. The hotel staff were extremely helpful and attentive, solving a problem for us with our travel agent about the timing of a tour and allowing us a slightly delayed check out. Highly recommended

Ripoff but food was nice.
Reviewed By Frank vI went here atnight because it was the only place what was open. Asked for a small dish with stur fried vegetables, so I good 3 small bowls 1 with vegetales 1 with hloks of cheese and 1 with a botem of bacon. They asked 14 dollar for this. I forgot to ask before when I ordered.

Reviewed By MRichardson2014We stayed atthis palafito for three nights. Yessica the property manager is very organized. She answered our emails promptly and provides an information binder. The unit itself was fantastic - modern, clean with a comfy bed, good bathroom, kitchette and large outdoor deck overlooking the water. We had our breakfast each morning and relaxed each evenung on the deck. Recommend highly.

Isla Bruja Lodge is a family owned business in the rural Chiloe Island. We offer beautiful surroundings, where you can practice trekking, mountain biking, kayaking and trips on a boat for the day to visit the penguins on Isla Conejo, while tasting some nice Chilean Wines and seafood. We also offer an outdoor Jacuzzi that runs on firewood, perfect for ending a day filled with adventure.

My wife and I stayed in one of the new palafitos which gave unparalleled views of the river and is a quite stunning place to wake up each morning. While you’re there you can take kayaks out on the river or explore the locale on foot. Your hosts, the owners Marie and Francisco, will take very good care of you throughout, including making sure the hot tub is ready for you whenever you need. Highly recommended.

S/he knows that its goal is understand distant realities, get deep emotions from discoveries and from walking a new path. S/he knows also that this is more and more difficult. Globalization and easy access to distant/remote places has not made easier to dive in a distant reality. Hence, if you are happy with a selfie-holiday, if you are not able to leave behind you all the urban stressful habits, please do not continue reading this message, and do not go to the Hostal Chilhué! On the opposite, an experienced and patient traveler, can discover a lot of good by staying a few days with the family owning this Hostal! The place is full of serenity, like the island, and the whole archipelagos of Chiloé. But beside the solidity of the establishment, here you will find a constant support to discover the islands! Hostal Chilhué is a discovery in itself, that will help you discover the beautiful world of this paradise of biodiversity and human history that is the Chiloé archipelago! From here you can visit the whole space of the island; stay one week, is the ideal time for dive-in into this beautiful territory and also taste a delicious "curanto" prepared by the family!

Reviewed By Matias SWe were very lucky because we managed to visit Chiloé when there was a window for non residents to visit the island during covid restrictions. It was a very surreal experience because there weren't many tourists except for locals from other parts of the island. Refugio Pullao is one of the most magical places I have visited in Chile, away from civilization (but close enough to Castro), surrounded by amazing landscape and hosted by their extremely accommodating staff. This hotel will give you the chance to explore nature at its best, starting with the stunning views, their attention to detail on how to blend in with nature and their approach to local food. Waking up to the sound of nature followed by the views from your room directly to the bay, it simply gives you a boost like no other. Their staff is simply amazing, they cook everything with locally sourced ingredients and are always there to help make your stay as pleasant as possible. You can also enjoy horse riding (actually more than that as they have a ranch), relax in their open air hot tub and even try their local lamb barbeque. If you are planning on visiting Chiloe, look no further and book this place for your entire stay. Thank you very much team for hosting us in such challenging times!

Adorables cabañas, experience insolite

Les cabañas sont très belles, très agréable, avec vue sur le bras de mer. autour, la nature, les montons, les oies qui courent. J'ai adoré pouvoir faire du feu dans le petit poil. Propreté implecable. Mon seul regret est de ne pas avoir pris plus de nuits sur place. Je recommande à 100%.
