We went looking for recommendations for pizza. The owner of a restaurant where we had previously dined asked his young son (around 7) to help us. He suggested this one, and he was right! The appetizers were amazing, and the pizza was outstanding! I will say that two huge groups of locals (one of which was obviously a child's birthday party) entered after we did, and it became quiet noisy. But the food was really worth it.

RAFFAELE it is an ICONA on the Ischia Island located few steps away from the main port of the island (ISCHIA PORTO).Raffaele established his activity and business on the same place for the last 40 or even more years, so that is a Gatantee for the local people eating there and sure for any tourist will visit the great island of Ischia.Raffaele has a small corner for take away, also a great PIZZA / PIZZERIA or even a restaurant all one next to the other one.I honestly recommended to visit and eat there and in case you need place to stay overnight they have fully furnished and services rooms same as small B&B or Zimmer.

A local hangout that has excellent pizza but we were disappointed with the rest of the food. Nice people - looks like a family operation with Nona at the cash register. Parking is nonexistent so we parked in the port parking lot and walked. They don't really start serving until 7:30 but most locals come in at 8:00 or 8:30. Real wood fired brick oven and they serve a wonderful flat bread, hot out of the oven when you sit down to order.

I visited this restaurant numerous times whilst holidaying in Ischia, the staff went above and beyond and being a solo traveller I wasnât made to feel uncomfortable, I was able to sit and relax and enjoy my food and just watch the world go by!The restaurant is situated on the main piazza as you walk up towards The numerous boutiques so worth an evening me in there.Again, definitely recommend this.

Lovely place. Good service and nice food. Is a real napolitana pizza. Staff speaking many languages, helpful, always smiling and well treating guest. Wine was so good too. Location is good. I would like to back gain.

Umberto, the owner's son who co-runs the restaurant, went out of his way to make me an authentic Napolitan pizza based on my palate. It was phenomenal. Our food was excellent and matched by superior VIP service. If you are looking for authentic regional food, look no further. And I promise, you will be out in plenty of time to make your ferry (but you won't want to leave!)

Trusted Tripadvisor on this one.Very close to harbor.Great pizza, very nice staff lady - bare minimum english, but 120% heart, smiles and good will.Good views from the outside tables.A nice start before the beach and the castle.

The pappardelle with fu ghi porcini was delicious, I would have just cooked a minute less the pasta!The appetizers were very good, bruschette and pumpkin flowers.Nice ambient as well.

The âsales pitchâ was warm and inviting, the primi piatti were very tasty (note they do gluten-free pasta) but the service really let them down. After eating the first course we were up for more food. But no one came back to our table after clearing the plates (which took a while) so eventually we just asked for the bill and left, slightly hungry.

Top choice if you would like to feel thoroughly spoiled. The presentation of the food was beautiful but more importantly it was also delicious. We just ordered a primo (occhi di lupo con crema di zucchine), but greatly appreciated the homemade bread selection and sweet treat at the end we were also served. Most of all, though, we were bowled over by the service - wonderfully attentive and kind staff. Extra special thanks to the maitre who ingeniously fashioned an ice-pack by vacuum-packing ice for us to take back to our hotel as I had swollen ankle. What more can I say? We hope to come on holiday to Ischia again just to return here!
