All meat at Swan Market is hand-cut, all sausage hand-made by owner Barry Fischer, who apprenticed with German master butchers to bring you a taste of Germany that's authentic down to the last detail. Swan's renowned German lunches are served Wednesday through Saturday from 11 to 2. Grab a seat at one of the communal tables and hoist a glass of imported German beer. It's impossible to go away hungry! There's also live German music on the last Thursday and Friday of each month. Wan can also cater events of any size, with anything from cold-cut trays to a full pig roast.
Fairly Small space with typical german beer hall seating (elbow to elbow with strangers which is always an interesting experience :) ) deli counter and various german 'market' items available for purchase. The lunch prices are great and the food is fantastic. They also offer beer which was a pleasant surprise I enjoyed the schnitzel and a liter Weihenstephan priced around $9 for each. We ventured in the Saturday before Christmas so it was quite the mad house but we were seated in a short amount of time and received friendly, prompt service despite how busy it was. Overall wonderful experience, would suggest to everyone, and will be back as soon as possible!

My husband has gotten my birthday cake here for the past two years. Carrot cake is one of my favorite kinds and theirs is awesome! I've also had the cheesecake, specifically the pumpkin cheesecake in the fall, and it's really good. I definitely recommend it.

A small cozy eatery off the beaten path dedicated to fine fresh homemade dishes and welcoming attentive service. A world of flavors and ever changing menus, Atlas Eats puts good food on the map!
If your looking for something beyond the standard eggs and bacon this a great spot. My daughter chose a scone which looked great. My son had the egg and bacon on a cheddar biscuit. I had the kimchee pancakes. All were great. Everything is homemade and a reasonable price. $25 is less than we spend in some traditional dinners with stale boring food. A large selection of teas, coffee and soda but no juices. That seemed strange and made it hard for my kids to get a drink other than water. It would be five stars if they added some more drink selections. Juices should be standard especially so kids can have something besides coffee tea or soft drinks.

I agree with the other reviewer who said that this place is like no other. I had the watermelon sorbet, topped with another tropical fruit-flavored sorbet, and it was really wonderful! Very fruity, light, tarte, icy, just wonderful....and different flavors than the typical ones you see in every store. Plus, they had both ice cream as well as frozen yogurt, which is a departure from the norm. They have plenty of seating in there, plus additional tables outside, so you don't have to stand up while you eat. All in all, this is a great place to get dessert...perhaps my new local favorite!

We have been using Savoias pastries for over 50 years in my family!
The Italian cookies are always fresh as well as all the cakes, breads etc.
The samples for wedding cakes are so delicious and the staff is so helpful
Definitely would recommend I had my wedding cake and cookie cake done here 39 years ago and my daughter’s 3 years ago!

We ordered panang curry, pad Thai, kapoon, Lao sausage, and mango coconut sticky rice. The panang curry with tofu was full of coconut goodness. The pad Thai was pretty good, better than most Thai restaurants, but not as good as the best Thai restaurant Coconut Rabbit in Orange County, CA. This is my first time trying the Lao sausage and it is pretty good, although I was unable to taste the pork in it. The dessert was awesome with fresh mango and sticky rice infused with coconut milk.
Although the food rates 4 stars, the service was sub par at 2 stars, so overall I rated Thai Mii Up 3 stars. We had asked for brown rice instead of jasmine rice. When our panang curry came, our rice did not. Fifteen minutes later I asked a server about our rice. Apparently, she was the bus girl and could not handle bringing out our rice. Thirty minutes later, a different server brought our rice, but we had already eaten up our curry! Oh, well. I could not understand why the service was so poor because I counted 7 different servers when there were only 6 tables of customers so it's not like the servers were overworked.

I brought the family here for some grub after spending a rainy day in the Rochester Museums. The ribs were prepared to perfection, seasoned with a dry rub snd not sopping wet with sauce, just like they should be. Our waiter was personable and effecient. I am glad he talked us onto having the Bannas Foster cheesecake. This was the way a family dinner should be, great food served by great staff in a great stmosphere.

When moving to Rochester years ago I was lucky enough to be in another one of the few cities in the US that was blessed with frozen custard - it was somewhat of a rarity back then.
Abbott's has always been a great treat at any of it's locations. Cones, dishes, sundaes, and Turtles always delicious and reasonably priced for this delicious sin. When the weather gets hot the lines can be very long but it is worth the wait. This location gets most of the action up at the lake but in the nearby Ferry building there is another location and it is pretty quiet so if the line is long on Lake Ave just walk the two blocks to their other location.

Probably one of the smallest restaurants in the city but a hidden gem of gastronomical proportion. A vast array of creative creations of hot dog fantasy. Freshly prepared to order. Great meat sauce. All served in a possibly proprietary bun that makes the delicious dog victuals taste just right. If you're in the Monroe Ave. area around lunch time...find this eatery!

Donuts, muffins, danishes, cookies, are made fresh daily! They have a great variety of anything you are looking for! They also have a frequent buyers program for free dozen of donuts! Great local family owned and family run business! Oh, the soup is homemade as well! You won't be disappointed!
