We stopped on our way from the Israeli border to Jerash. The fabulous view encompasses in the forground the site of the ancient city of Pella. While we lunched we watched archaeologists at work in the distance and a shepherd taking his sheep up a steep hill with his donkey. In the far distance you look across the Jordan valley to the hills beyond. We had a delicious lunch of salads and dips and St.Peter's fish from the Jordan River cooked to perfection by the chef whose son is the manager. She is rightly proud of her skills. We lunched on the balcony.
Grand Omaya restaurants offer you Western and Eastern varieties.
