This could be our mostest favorite place of all time! OK, here's the story:I am traveling with my beautiful wife and her brother methie who are both Iranian. We are in Northern Iran, traveling west away from Amol along the coast highway. The Caspian Sea is on our right. Across the Caspian is Russia. Methie is driving and we're enjoying saffron ice cream sandwiches, blasting music, and the warmth of the day. It is day 4 of Norooz and we are having a ball. We pass road vendors plying scarves, dresses, inflatables, every fruit and veggie imaginable. The scenery is developing as more and more pretentious hotels are being built OceanSide. We meander thru small towns, with markets of fish down seemingly endless trails. There are bread bakeries on many corners -- Lavash, barbari, sangac, tufftoon, and baugette. So fresh they are too hot to handle, but wonderful. After about a 2 hour sojourn we decide to stop along the scenic Caspian for a photo shoot: of fishermen returning from the sea, each other and friendly neighbors we just met. We decide to head back after first exploring some wonderful modern day castles in the mountains, being ever so careful to avoid the heard of cows sharing the same dirt road. We yield to their domination of the single lane, rut strewn passage. We snap their pictures and they almost seem to pose for us.Back down the trail to the highway and now hunger is setting in. Where to stop? we've food adventurers are we are in the world where fine tastes were created many thousands of years ago. Restaurant after restaurant looks good-- they all look good. We finally settle on a charming looking place that has real flaming touches on either side of the entrance way and a parking assistant who misdirects cars like ingredients into a blender. But we made it. car parked, we now enter the Restaurant. It is called Lovita. Our first impression of the decor is that is reminds us of an eclectic melange of American West meets Vermont ski lodges, meets Persian chic, meets Irish Pub, meets college stage, meets bar stool paradise all topped by a Hookah loft. No kidding. This place is fantastic. No alcohol, of course, who needs it. this place is intoxicating! All natural beamed wood -- in fact wood all over the place: ceilings, floors, walls, spires, stools, and Hookah loft. We select a raised "sitting bed." it's a flat cushioned area about 3 meters square. small railings to lean against for comfort with pillow at your back. One sits on their derriere. Your board this area after removing your shoes, getting real comfy now. The menus are boards of offerings, all in Persian. No one speaks Western Languages, but thankfully my lady and her brother are multi-lingual. AAshy orders for us all. Three separate entrees, appys of pickled garlics, olives and pickles. Platters of bread arrive. Beverages are Cokes and a yogurt water. Entrees come with cups of yogurt. We have skewers of lamb chops, and assortments of grilled meats and kabobs and platters of veggies. That is the base report, now for the details. This is a fabulous feast for every sense ever created. The food is gourmet level, the atmosphere heavenly, the service family-orientated. And the place glows with warmth and charm and originality. We meet the owner, a young chap Mr. Bali Moghadas. He could be a Fifth Avenue NYC restaurateur. Despite speaking no English he is charming and welcoming. He brings us a crock of special freshly whipped-on-the-nearby-farm butter and all sorts of extras. He also owns a Football (Soccer) Training School with a C&A Asia Coaching License. And also runs a real estate company should one like to buy in the area. There is more food and friendship than a family could ever digest properly. A large group heads up the winding stairs to a Hookah loft along with platters of fresh fruits. The entire evening is taking on a surreal glow as was prone to happen so many times during this trip to Iran. He invites us to stay for the evening's entertainment of a local band which he promises will be fantastic! This is a festive party and on of the most impressive meals I have ever had. Words can not do the savories or the ambiance justice. I am at a loss for words. One has to truly visit this venue to understand just how pleasurable an evening at this seaside resort can be! If you are ever fortunate enough to come to Iran this MUST be a MUST stop at the top of your list.Unfortunately we were not able to stay for the evening's entertainment as Poppie was making grilled shrimp kebabs back at his villa now a 3 hour drive away with traffic. I can not wait to go back to Lovita later this year and I will post an update and better directions It is before Molkar Station in Nooshahr towards sisaugau. I have attached pix of their business cards and flyers to help locating it. And their phone number.Seek and enjoy. Hope to see you there. We love this place!
We and our friends had a relaxing time there after a hard daily work with nice iranian music and foods,as the restaurant is very busy snd familiar you can visit many friends there who had come randomly.
A road restaurant with limited but delicious types of local food .They serve the customers fast although the place gets crowded at holidays. We had Shami-Kebab with tomatoes, rice and lovely potatoe tahdig. The pomegranate added to kebab tastes sour and great. You can order a dressing plate including green salad, olives, Mirza ghasemi and Baghela ghatogh. I didn't like the olive it was full of garlic but the rest taste good.

Traditional Mazandarani Food Most Famous Brand in North of Iran. Akbar Joojeh chain restaurants.
Akbar jooje is a famous Iranian cousin which have too many non-original branches everywhere in this country if you have a chance to find an original one, make sure to try it once.
Even with its modest decoration, it offers delicious local and national foods. At the very beginning you have a sort of yogurt seasoned with herbs and garlic along with their own bread. You may choose between grilled or stews of chicken, duck, partridge, fish or lamb. The national drink called Dough is prepared a bit differently.

Don't miss this restaurant. You will feel full respect as their motto, while there are plenty of choices mainly Iranian, and local foods. They have 2 meal sizes, the small one is enough for one person. The large one is really big. Ask for the fresh fish of the day, usually so delicious.
