No noise in this room compared to another hotel I stayed at. Decent sized bathroom and the air con is a welcome feel if you’ve been in the jungle for a couple of days!

Good wifi, great location, close to Plaza de Armas. There is a variety of rooms, doubles, maybe a triple, a/c, fans, even a honey moon suite. You won’t be sorry you checked this one out

Most of all, there is great spirit and energy, thanks to the wonderful owner. Her English is fantastic, she helps me with my Spanish, and she rescues cats and dogs. I’ve stayed here several times over 5 years. I absolutely recommend it.

The Epoca is located 400 meters from the main square, on the Malecon in the city of Iquitos, historic town center. The property has been declared Cultural Heritage of Peru, being a house built in 1902, during the "rubber boom". The big house has a spectacular view of the Itaya and Amazon rivers. We have single, double, triple and quadruple rooms, with all comforts: minibar, air conditioning, safety box, hot and cold water, cable TV, free WiFi, and the stay includes breakfast.
Perfect place for Iquitos
Reviewed By GordJaWe really felt like we were in Iquitos when we stayed here. The staff was warm and helpful despite our lack of Spanish. The room was clean and cool and quiet and the decor fits right in with the atmosphere of the area. We had decided to get there a day before the cruise and Adriana on the desk made us happy that we did. For us it was perfect. Even the breakfasts were good.

Hotel with a soul
Reviewed By SabinaMS-DKI stranded at this hotel for 3 weeks during the corona lockdown. The hotel staff did whatever in their power to make us feel safe and comfortable. Normally they only serve breakfast but because of the situation they made sure we could have 3 meals a day. It is not a luxury hotel like the Hilton but it is not a hostel either. The rooms are large with private bathrooms, have aircon and TV. If there is any problem with the rooms they fix it as soon as possible. There is a nice common area with a bar and outside there is a small swimmingpool. They also have 2 machines for exercise that are located in front of a big window so there is a view over the river. Belém Market, supermarket, bank and smaller shops are all within walking distance. If i ever go back to Iquitos this is the place i will be staying.

Reviewed By jenni TThe restaurant has an air conditioned room which is a relief,(and rare in Iquitos). Breaded alligator, grubs, and some type of jungle rodent (not cuy) are available if you're adventurous. The steak is pretty good and their homemade pesto spaghetti was my favourite. Great selection of healthy juices and smoothies too.

Terrible staff

The first time upon check in,the reception staff asked to pay more than the rate confirmed though booking.com, luckily the issue was solved and I have decided to return after few days. Upon return, one of the staff member blamed us to have stolen the hairdryer on the previous stay and when he found it, he did not even apologize. The hotel is nice and has a good location, it s just a shame that the staff is unprofessional and not welcoming.Need an intense hospitality training. What a pity!
