This artfully designed boutique Hotel and Restaurant in Suffolk reflects luxury and dazzles in the waterfront of Ipswich's vibrant Harbour quayside at night. The Salthouse Harbour Hotel goes beyond what you expect and exudes its 4 star status in every curious corner, eccentric sofa and unstuffy cushion. The sea-salted brickwork exterior has been restored & rejuvenated into a ship shape contemporary warehouse of rich modern interiors and rooms adorned with vintage furniture, sculptures and eclectic art. Within its comfy chic decor, although the mood is friendly and relaxed, the staff are professionally attentive to your every need. The cuisine is exciting and the popularity of the Salthouse Eaterie fills this delightful waterfront restaurant as soon as the tables are laid.
Had a brilliant time here. Room was amazing! Had views over the quay with a small balcony. Great for people watching. Had the set dinner in the restaurant with a cocktail, all very good & breakfast was lush! Not much parking but they took our car to overflow car park 5 mins away. Will definitely return

I stayed at easyHotel Ipswich, the members of the staff were incredible and even with hands full they done their best to accommodate me and my partner. The rooms were small but okay to stay and go explore.

We are an 88 Bedroom Hotel set in our own grounds but only a 5 minute Drive into Ipswich Town centre. The Manor House section of the Hotel is the original part of the building dating back to the 16th century and a lot of the original fittings still remain and this is also the location of the Restaurant . We also have the leisure centre which is free to use for all guests this includes Swimming Pool, Steam room, Jacuzzi, Gym and treatments are available by prior arrangement.
My wife and i have visited this hotel a number of times but not for a while. This time however, it was appaling. When we arrived we were told the room was not ready, even though we arrived almost 45 mins after check in was due. Having booked and prepaid dinner we were told the only times we could eat in the restaurant were 5pm or 9pm. Nobody wants to eat at those times. We then got to our room and none of the electrics (tv, kettle, lamps) were working. Had to wait for maintenance to come round to fix. Now i understand that these things in isolation can happen but all at the same time to the same people!!! However the most upsetting thing of all was the managers response when i spoke to him about it. Not one hint of an apology or any evidence that he cared one bit. Instead all i got was "these things happen" and then started going on about the current state of the airlines!!!!!! We asked for a refund and left never to return.

Watch the world drift by at the Premier Inn Hotel Ipswich Town Centre (Quayside). Just opposite the quayside, you'll be in a great spot for messing about on the river, wandering around town, or visiting the region's businesses. You could take a cruise along the River Orwell, or find buried treasure at the awe-inspiring Sutton Hoo. You could feed the animals at Jimmy's Farm, or step out and explore the city's vibrant bars and restaurants. Then, after a movie at Cardinal's Park, stroll back to our tasty restaurant and extra-comfy beds.
Not worth the money at all. £100 a night, midweek and no breakfast. Room was dirty, broken window and TV, hotel stairs and lobby area were dirty and damaged. I stayed one night and then moved hotels. For an extra £40 you can book a room at the popular hotel 3 minute walk away and have a view of the water and breakfast. Do that.

And, if you're here for work, you'll find many business destinations on your doorstep too. You could step back in time at Sutton Hoo or put your best foot forward in Ipswich. Then return and relax with our tasty restaurant and extra-comfy beds.
We found this hotel to be consistent with all our experiences at any other Premier Inn. The staff is friendly, the rooms are clean, the breakfast it was average but is the same in all the other Premier Inns and the kids love to be able to help themselves to whatever they want. They went an extra mile by having colouring sheets and crayons Jubilee Themed and even left some biscuits and chocolates

We booked this hotel - and then read the reviews. Safe to say we were a bit terrified, especially as we were taking a 6 year old. We arrived at the hotel to sort our parking space, to find they can't be reserved. Annoying. We went off for the day and returned, as we pulled up, party goers were just leaving, filling me with dread. My partner went in to find out where the overflow parking was (across the river). Annoying until we found parking was free 8pm-8am, so we downloaded the app, set an alarm and paid £1 for an hours parking until 9am. Anyhow.. We walked over and went to check in. The reception is also the 24hr bar and there were a couple of questionable 'gents' propping up the bar. Chatting, swearing and whatever else. As soon as we got to the counter, the receptionist couldn't apologise enough for the couple of swear words my daughter may have overheard. Really unexpected considering reviews said how rude the staff were.. we were checked in and went to the room. Perfectly pleasant, with FREE WiFi (previous reviews said £7.50?). The hair dryer didn't work, or one of the plug sockets but I was happy to take that considering the price of the room and the many horrific reviews I'd read. All in all, we were really happy. It could have been luck, but from our experience, it was nothing like the previous poor reviews! Phew!

Needs upgrading the carpets are very warn and very faded so its def not luxury. If u just need a quick stop it's perfect. But not worth £75.00 for a night. I've paid alot less with breakfast inc. As the hotel is next to the main road its noisy from the traffic.
