Things to do in Arnolds Park
Staff wasn't very knowledgeable when it came to their deals. Placed our order, 3 other tables were there and we sat there forever waiting. Bathrooms needed cleaned and mopped and the pop area was very sticky. Pizza was average. Nothing like the Godfathers in Windom, its much better.
We ordered a small taco and a medium pepperoni pizza to be delivered to our hotel room. When we ordered we were told 45 minutes for delivery. An hour and a half later, still no pizza, so I called and was told that the driver was on his way. 20 minutes after that, he finally delivered the pizzas. NO Taco Chips on the taco pizza and no salsa packets...seriously? The pepperoni pizza tasted like the cardboard box that it was delivered in. Don't ever order from this Godfather's Pizza...HORRIBLE!!!
Casey's pizza is an acquired taste. It's super greasy, but in a good way. Not bad prices, either. The people that work there are pretty nice and it's good to be able to just grab a slice and go.

The buffet was suppose to include soup and it didn't. I asked if there was any soup and they said no. The table busing is not adequate. They let the plates pile up and only bused the table after you are done eating. I've eaten at other pizza ranches and they tend to the dishes as soon as you finish that serving. Probably the worst Pizza Ranch I have dined at.

A decent restaurant. Hard to judge on pizza alone. A little confusion in seating. Told we were next for an outdoor table. While waiting near the outdoor bar with a drink, it appeared the outdoor bartender had a different list from the hostess as he seated somebody before us. Other problems but minor. Two flatbread pizzas were consumed. Both were good. Waitress was ok. The place seemed to be run by college kids. The view at sunset (after the sun got out of our eyes) and the gentle breeze made for a relaxing evening of bourbon and wine.
I'd not choose Godfather's Pizza in an area filled with local spots but was at the mercy of friends who hadn't been to a Godfather's for years. They had to experience it again. We were here on what must have been "Bring Your Screaming and Poorly Behaved Kids Day."What I remember about our pizza was that it was overcooked and incredibly dry. I ended up peeling the topping off one slice and eating just that part. The rest of the experience involved watching unsupervised kids run back and forth while screaming at decibels high enough to shatter glass. I know kids will do that but seriously, take things down a notch when others are trying to talk. The high school employees couldn't have cared less about being at work. Several stood around chatting with one another rather than wiping off tables needing to be cleared off. I shouldn't complain. I didn't go into the place with high expectations. Godfathers is Godfathers and Godfathers will always have their followers. There are just so many other options.
Go to Casey's(we went to the 1 near Arnolds Park), order a pizza(a lg. supreme), and in 6-1/2 mins. there is the MOST delicious pizza you'll ever put in your mouth! We brought ours home, & discovered there is brown waxed paper between pizza and box bottom=brilliant! Pizza does NOT stick to cardboard with no transfer of icky taste. You cannot go wrong with Casey's!!

Went on Friday night for dinner and drinks with a group of 4. What a fun and lively place! Group had drinks and sandwiches & appetizers -- and shared a RItz Fishbowl! A must for vacation! Wait staff were attentive and added to the fun! Checked back often and were helpful with recommendations. We had so much fun, we went back on Saturday night for late night pizza and more drinks. The pizza came out hot and fast and was very tasty! We're not boaters, but they have a dock to pull up the boat and enjoy the festivities of music -- live DJs both nights. We'll be back!
