I had high hopes for The Grey Plume, but I was disappointed. The menu is extremely limited. I had the beef. It was very expensive and just ok Dessert was just ok as well. Good service and nice atmosphere, but I would not go back

Every course we ordered was delicious and served exactly as requested. And it's obvious the service staff is trained well - friendly, knowledgeable and accessible but not hovering or pretentious. Their wine suggestions were spot-on and we were visited by our servers periodically but were never rushed. Our favorite meal during our recent stay in Omaha. We look forward to returning when we travel to the city in the future.

We had brunch on a Saturday right when they opened, so no problem getting a table. The restaurant is in the very fun Capitol District and is "decorated" in what I call Euro-city-diner style, very spacious and bright with a lot of European touches. I had the omelette, an actual French omelette, not a stuffed American-style omelet (which I like, don't get me wrong) but one that was cooked with herbes fine and (because we only live once) topped with foie gras and micro greens. Delicious. And to think they actually have a brunch cook/chef who can make one of the most technique-intense dishes around. Very impressive. My wife had the "eggs in a basket" (the "basket" being a house-made brioche), which had wonderful texture and taste. The dark-roast coffee was good, the prices reasonable. By the time we finished, the farmers' market a block away was in full swing. A delightful way to spend Saturday morning in Omaha.

Took the wife out for birthday dinner. Made reservations on line but didn't really need to. Weeknight not to busy. They did print a special birthday menu for her birthday which was very nice. Great drinks we ordered the cheese plate and the selection of cheese was fantastic. I ordered the wagu beef and it was incredibly delish. The wife ordered the fish and it was very good. Very elegant dinner.
