I hate to write a bad review as I'd like to see all places succeed and since the bowling alley is so cool with how it looks like you are underwater. But... the service was very subpar. We had to ask twice to get the little shelf behind the alley we were in to be wiped off. It had water rings and was sticky and the previous customers bill was still there. We then had to ask twice to get a waitress. Everything about this was S L O W. We ordered drinks from the bar and we could see them sitting up there. I finally went up and got them myself as I didn't want a warm beer and we didn't want watered down drinks because the ice had melted. Then the food finally came, we ordered pizza and it was totally bland. Almost no flavor and very skimpy toppings. And it cost $19! Our waitress was nice enough but they just need to hustle. We were with family so we had other food and drinks and no one came to pick up dirty dishes and we had to ask for our tab. Frustrating part was we could see where the congregated and at one time there were 5 or 6 of them standing together. Sorry, but unless I hear that things are fixed we probably won't stop in again. We are so very sorry you did not enjoy your experience with us. Applebee's

Stopped in around 7:30 on a Sunday evening, the place was almost empty. Was seated at a table, had a little difficulty getting there as a family had a baby in a very large carrier placed at the end of their table. I have nothing against that situation, but it took up a lot of space and endangered the baby when people passed by, the Host should have seated me where I did not have to brush against a baby’s holder to get to my table. When the Server arrived he collapsed on the side of the booth, draping himself along the top of the partition. He seemed to have little understanding of the beers on tap. When I ordered my burger he explained that I could have it “Pink or not Pink”, I choose “Pink”, as it turned out it did not matter. What I received was a dried up and thickly charred disk of what might, at some time have been “meat”. I had not wanted fries, instead ordered a side salad, I received both the salad and the fries, what a waste of product! When the food was delivered the young ladies tried to serve it to a table who had finished their meal and was getting ip to leave, that was the only other table present. After I finished my meal the Server returned, explaining that his absence was because he went to Walmart, but had asked “the others” to take care of me. Obviously there were no Managers evident during my visit.

Claxon's Smokehouse & Grill

Reviewed By Stanbro81

My husband and I visited Claxon’s for the first time to give their BBQ a try. We both love smoked meats. Our server, Megan, was very sweet, attentive and helpful. I ordered the rib/smoked meat combo with a side of green beans, pulled pork and sliced brisket. The ribs were good (had a sweet tang to them with a little heat on the back side. The meat was just a bit tough to get off the bone, but the juiciness and flavor offset that. I found the brisket and pork both on the dry side, even after dunking it in a very tasty and sweet sauce. The green beans, in my opinion, weren’t worth eating. Very bland and even after generous salting, I left them in the plate. My husband had the Three Pigs sandwich. It was a tenderloin topped with bacon and pulled pork. He said it was “okay.” The pork wast dry to him as well, and the tenderloin nothing special. His Mac and cheese was creamy, but again, flavorless. In general the seasoning for side dishes should be ramped up. Refills were prompt and everything was clean.

We love this place. We forget to eat at Jethros, some nights. But, when we return, we are reminded why we love this restaurant. There were two couples in our party. The restaurant was busy, but we did not have a wait. My husband and I shared both an appetizer of wings and also a platter for two. Everything was great.
