On a sub the taste of my chicken, bacon, ranch sub was mostly veggies. Very family friendly. Friendly staff, mostly. Prices are typical for Subway. See pics. This one is in campus town, so parking is difficult to find when class is in session. Marcydiner tantrum scale of 5/5-no screaming kids.
The subs here are VERY good. A bit pricey but worth it every so often. They also sell their empty pickle buckets for $2. Friendly staff. Very family friendly. Lot parking and drive through available. MarcyâsDinerTantrumScale 5/5-no screaming kids. Try the cheddar brisket!
The new Reuben sandwich is very good. Friendly staff, clean place. Marcydiner tantrum scale of 5/5-no screaming kids. They also have throwback Thursday which you get a foot long for $5 with a drink purchase, though I haven't tried it yet.

Little deli close to campus. They have sandwiches, soups, salads and some desserts. We ordered a Ruben (delicious), the Cajun cordon bleu (very messy, get lots of napkins but well worth the mess.) Some yummy broccoli cheese soup, and some of the BEST Mac and cheese I have ever had, it was delicious and very filling. Inside and outside parking (there is metered parking up front but they have free parking in the back)You order at the counter and get your food. Simple and delicious. No wi-fi

Been eating here since shortly after it opened. This is the deli you want to go to in Ames - not Jimmy John's, not Subway, not West Street Deli, not even Depot Deli. The bread here is fantastic (if you get in first thing at 10 AM wait for the fresh shipment), the ingredients are high quality, the particulars are the way I like them, the non-sandwich options are great, the prices are low, and the people are here to make your experience a good time. The little things are done here the way I like them like finely cut lettuce so a huge leaf doesn't slide out when you take a bite. Non-sandwich options like Wisconsin cheese soup and French Silk pie are just stellar versions. I've been here about twice a week for the last month and I'm jonesing for it again.

We went for breakfast on move in weekend. We went early to beat the crowd. The service team was up to the task and got us our yummy breakfast right away. We like all of the additions to the menu. Sometimes you just gotta have breakfast and Perkins is a great place for breakfast anytime of the day.
