This is a picturesque bar and pizza restaurant popular with locals. The pizza is great and they have many specialty pizzas. This is a place that provides baskets of free peanuts. This is a great place to stop if you are walking or biking along the trails by the Des Moines River. The service is friendly and attentive.

I stopped here with my wife while enroute to the far north. We needed fuel so I pulled in. My wife went in to get us coffee while I filled the car. We I went in to pay she said that maybe we should eat before we got back on the road. We ordered pizza, a hot ham/cheese sub, fries, coffee and freshly made bakery items for dessert. The staff was friendly and the restrooms very clean. This was a nice place to take a break and enjoy a good lunch.

The pizza and salad bar on the buffet were uninspired but good enough, however the fried chicken was excellent and reminiscent of Pizza Ranch chicken (which I consider to be great too). The buffet also had corn, home fries, mac & cheese, and mash potatoes. The fountain drinks are refillable at a station with about 8 choices. The $8.99 price for this was a bargain. They were friendly at the front counter but there was little in the way of service for me to comment on since I had the buffet.

Went around 5:00 PM. I could see the restaurant from my hotel and it wasn't very busy at all throughout the day. When I walked in I was very disappointed in how unclean the floor was! There is no reason why one of the employees could not have vacuumed the floor...especially with the fact that they were not busy throughout the day from the time they had opened up. The staff was standing around talking & 'SOMEONE' could have taken the initiative to clean the place up! The pizza & bread sticks were very good. I have always loved Pizza Hut, but I was very disappointed in the cleanliness of this restaurant.
