Our restaurant specializes in great food and catering to our patrons from Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day weekend. We want every one of you who are dining with us to have an exceptional experience. We are proud to serve local Iowa pork and beef products
We have eaten at Maxwells in the past and have always been pleased. A nice menu with pasta, seafood and beef entrees. This time of year the new waitstaff are still figuring things out. We had reservations on a Thursday night and were warmly greeted and seated promptly. Our waiter was on the spot and brought us water and drinks in a timely fashion. Then, things kind of fell apart. We had hoped to have a leisurely dinner and spend some time enjoying the view of Lake Okoboji. We ordered appetizers, salads and entrees. The salads came out rather quickly and they said they were checking on the appetizer. Then when the entrees came the appetizer came with it. This is usually a kitchen problem. Hard to blame the food runners who are told to take this to table âXâ. Overall the food was excellent, my wife had the scallops and pappardelle pasta and I had the rack of lamb. We took the appetizer home. Weâll still go back to Maxwells, but will give our waitstaff a little more guidance on timing. We could have refused the salads and insisted on the appetizer first, but our entrees might have been held under a warmer for who knows how long. Okoboji is a tourist town and the restaurants count on high school and college students for staff. They take a little time to get the hand of things.

Water's Edge Grille offers the best cuts of steak, fresh seafood, and more! All while enjoying beautiful views of East Lake Okoboji.
Bosses took me out for a steak. Everything about the place was good. Could not help but notice the price of my 14 ounce ribeye was $39. Thatâs just the world we live in.Thanks Blane,We appreciate your review and we are thrilled you loved your steak! Cheers, Rich
Where to eat Pub food in Arnolds Park: The Best Restaurants and Bars

I and two other co-workers stopped here for dinner on a recent business trip to the Okoboji area. Options are much less in the Winter here and this was close to the hotel. Upon entering the restaurant the feel is bar or quick food. The menu typical for the area. The slice of Prime Rib looks like the same cut at every restaurant in the area. Both of my co-workers ordered this non-descriptime Prime Rib that appeared to be cooked as an individual Steak rather then roast. I ordered the pan fried Walleye. It was OK. The fish seemed to be pre-frozen rather than fresh. Sections of the fish were quite dry. The Au Gratin Potatoes as a side were very good. Service was friendly. All in all this is not a bad choice. You will neither be impressed nor completely disappointed. Just the epitome of average.
