I had the Gyro skillet breakfast, It was excellent, facility is clean, servers are friendly, prices are reasonable. I have eaten here several times when in the Waterloo area.
We tried this place several years ago when we were unfortunately going back and forth to Mayo. Stopped last week on the way back from Minneapolis. In fact, anytime we go by we make a point of stopping. They make your gyro when you order it. Right off the spit onto the grill. The softest, tastiest pita bread is warm and ready for the meat. Then they add the toppings of your choice. Approximately a dozen options for toppings. If you are in the mood, have an order of fries with it. They go right in the fryer before your eyes and come out sizzling hot with your gyro. Bread, meat and potato heaven!!!PS they travel and reheat well if you leave off the veges that might wilt.
The Pita Pit is a nice change of pace from burgers and sandwiches. I go with the caesar on white (double meat of course) with red peppers, tomatoes, onions, chipotle sauce, caesar dressing, black olives, etc. and there are about a dozen other options to choose from. Service is always good and the dining area is clean. $8.60 for the pita with double meat.
