This is my second trip to The Wedge. Nice little place to pick up some hot fresh gourmet style pizza by the slice. The best part is that it always seems to be different pizza. It's nice to try a slice & not have to buy a whole pie that you might not like. The price is great & so is the service. After a demanding day, you can stop, pick up & be on your way. Beware, the awesome smells coming from the takeout box may have you pulling over to enjoy some before you get home.
Cute little eatery.. They serve thin crust pizza and Chicago style thick crust too. Also appetizers and Italian pasta dishes and salads with some sandwich choices. They have a selection of beer and wine, soda, iced tea, etcetera. Atmosphere has British memorabilia on the walls..
I've always used the campus special where you can buy one specialty pizza & get a 2nd one free. Great deal especially for students & vast choices of pizzas. Although if you really want a treat on Wednesdays they have a special for pepperoni rolls & wow...so good!

When I walked in and saw the interesting painted walls, the dirty tables, the few patrons, and the minimal workers, we should have walked right back out. I thought I'd give Mesa Pizza a chance though because with artistic choices, delicious food can come, right? Sadly, no. We tried eight different slices and only one was tolerable. The crust on all was so bad. The pizza looked good, but was generally flavorless and the slightly burnt, bland crust overpowered any yum the toppings could possibly have. I do not recommend Mesa Pizza at $4 per slice which was way to much for bad pizza.

Sold on Airliner Restaurant in Iowa City! Reasonable Prices, Excellent Service and Tasty food!!! About two weeks ago I ate at the Airliner Restaurant in downtown Iowa City. I now understand why this restaurant has stayed in business for so many, many yea
We were lucky on a recent Friday evening to find the Airliner not incredibly packed. It is a favorite of U of Iowa students and their families. We went there for pizza and weren't disappointed. The thin crust supreme was excellent -- ample, crunchy crust. The Chicken Pesto (regular crust) was also very good. The draft beer menu is adequate, but not robust. It was a very good place for a quick, delicious meal.

Me and a friend ate at Maggieâs yesterday for lunch. It was really a nice experience. Staff was very friendly. Place was was nice and cozy. Menu is very limited. The focus is pizza but yeah the pizza is really good. We ordered the white Chicken Bianca and yeah would definitely recommend it. Pizza is so hard to rate because there are so many pizza places now. Is it the best pizza Iâve ever had? No but certainly not the worst. Itâs definitely there own style. Crust is really thin which is fine because I like thin crust but the crust is not crispy which I tend to like better. Anyway all in all I enjoyed the pizza. The best part to me was the soup. I wasnât intending on getting soup but the waitress asked if I would like to try one of there soups they were offering for the day. I ordered the tomato soup and yeah it was amazing! I would say best tomato soup Iâve ever had. Definitely order soup of the day there because they definitely hit the mark on there soups. Also I ordered the cup instead of the bowl and wow. It was more than enough. Unless your sharing the cup is more than enough. A+ on the soup! If I had one suggestion it would be to expand menu a little. I donât remember any appetizers on the menu and we normally like to get appetizers. But yeah would I go back? Yes I would definitely go back.

I was told this was great pizza in Iowa City but I was disappointed. The sauce was good and the pizza was salty. Ordered Pepperoni & Sausage, plus a ham and pineapple. Both pies had a stiff crust - not burned - with small holes poked throughout. The crust did not bend, except at the center where it was soft from being slightly undercooked. In the restaurant, everyone in uniform made it seem like a chain restaurant, not a special or unique environment. The toppings were good but the crust was so disappointing, I dont plan to go back.

A must stop restaurant for people in this area. They offer three types of their tasty crust, various topping, a great sauce, and plenty of cheese. Delicious! Other menu items including pasta, sandwiches, and salads are also good. The staff is friendly and service great.

Basta serves modern Italian cuisine, inspired by tradition and local Iowa ingredients. Our pizza is classic Napoli style.
Basra has excellent Italian food, you cannot go wrong at this location. Their homemade spaghetti and meatballs are the best. The pasta is homemade fresh from their kitchen. On Sundays they run specials on this item. Our server was top notch, and in to customer service. At this establishment, you cannot go wrong, well worth the stop.
