Stopped in for supper with a friend and was impressed with the casual, yet "hip" atmosphere of both inside, and outside, seating areas. Our server was appropriately attentive and our food arrived quickly. The menu includes a large, and reasonably priced, variety of sandwiches, appetizers, pizza and entrees. Also, 50+ craft beers are available. Our food portions were plentiful, but we both had to add quite a bit of salt. I had the philly cheese steak sandwich and onion rings, plus a soda, and it cost around $15 (plus tip). This is a pleasant dining establishment with lots of local flavor and vibe.

Come here frequently for lunch with coworkers and occasionally with family. One of my favorite places in CR. Have tried many different menu items and have never been disappointed. A few of my favorites are nachos, fish/chips and of course, the cheese wontons. They also have the BEST honey mustard, I could drink it by the cupful:) Service is always fast and friendly! If you are searching for a place to go- this is it!

Located in the heart of Czech Village and enjoyed reading about the history of the building. Decor is definitely standard brewery industrial. Solid beers and I was very impressed with what I tried. Compensation is the best brew choice!!! They use proper glassware. The staff is friendly and know their brews. Food was outstanding. Started with pierogies and hummus with unique and tasty burger for entree. Well done on the menu!!! Really nice and helpful staff. If I only lived closer to be able to frequent this brewpub.

We ordered one vegetable plate and an iced tea for $11.18 and a Chicken Pecan Salad for $9.79. The vegetable place will probably not be ordered again as the veggies seemed to be a hard and a bit under cooked. The noodle soup that came with it was fine as was the croissant. The salad order was quite filling, enough so that a take home carton was needed. Prices are good, with a large variety of food choices. Nicely decorated restaurant that makes it look a bit upscale, but very casual in reality. Service was good and pretty quick, with one slight mixup in not getting our croissants right away.

A Cedar Rapids restaurant offering thoughtfully-sourced, upscale Iowa Soul Food & Drink with a twist, in an eclectic lively atmosphere.
I didn't know what to expect and I was impressed. The decor was unique for a CR restaurant which was definitely a positive change of pace. The service was possibly the best I have experienced in this area. The food did not disappoint. They had some unique otems and typical items prepared on a non-typical manner. So, if you are like me and get tired of typical menu fare, give Black Sheep a try.

variety of seating options, they have television but they do not overtake the restaurant, the food is very good, but from a very limited menu, they also have a full bar if you are into that.

Very popular on a Saturday evening. Bit of a wait for a table but well worth it. Filet was perfect. Chicken Maralla was delicious. Skewered chicken was nicely prepared and presented. Onion rings were generous and really good. Vegetarian burger was tasty.

Emilâs Hide away is pretty much a regular stop for us now when we visit our son who attends college nearby. Varied menu, Excellent sandwich selection, great sides, nice casual atmosphere, consistently good service. Not a chain, which we like. Parking lot is small and itâs a bit tricky to get to, but it is worth the bit of trouble every time!

This is my favorite pizza in Cedar Rapids. I have fortunately patronized Need since their first day of business. The first visit was very good and they have consistently gotten better. Besides pizza that can be customized, their salads are very fresh. If you are in a hurry this is not the place for you. As they say, good food takes time and I don't mind waiting a little longer.
