The people working here knew how to get things done! We had an excellent lunch on a Monday afternoon. I had the Ruben, which was hot, crispy grilled marbled rye, good amount of sauerkraut that was drained well so your sandwich didn't get soggy. Russian dressing served on the side. One of the best ruben's I've had. My dining partner had the soup/sandwich special. The soup was a chicken tortilla, which was excellent & half sandwich was quite nice. Food was quick to be served. We sat at the bar and could see the grill from where we sat. It got interesting when about 20 guys all came in at once. This place knew how to handle a croud. Some sat at the bar, some at tables. The bartender got drinks out quickly, then filled the drink order from the waitress, putting the drinks out in the order on the ticket. The cook at the grill got someone from in back to come out and help before the food orders started, then they were able to get food out fast. It was fun to watch people who knew what they were doing and did it well. Another place we'd go back to.

Had to stop at Pete's. The burgers are average. The walk up stand is a legend. You should try it. I cant believe that I waited 30 minutes today. I liked the burger. However it us average. Sorry Pete's Lovers.
Made reservations to stay in their Bed and Bath portion of the facility, somewhat leary of doing so after reading prior reviews. Regardless, it exceeded our expectations. Wait staff were excellent in the restaurant . Had pulled pork and it was outstanding.

We happened to be passing through Prairie du Chien around dinner time and looked for a place to eat. We stumbled across Huckleberryâs and are very glad we found it. Huckleberryâs serves mostly good, old-fashioned Midwestern comfort food and they do it well. All the food we had, including the salad bar, seemed pretty fresh and high quality. My wife ordered a petite sirloin and I had their specialty, the fried chicken, which also came with mashed potatoes and stuffing. All of it was fantastic. So many times, food from small town diners is poor quality and tastes microwaved but the food at Huckleberryâs was very on point and relatively high quality. Huckleberryâs also has a nice selection of beverages and desserts and the service is outstanding. Judging from how busy they were on a Thursday night, this seems like a pretty popular place and deservedly so. Highly recommended!-The Power Trippers PowerTrippersTravel, thank you for leaving us such a wonderful review. We are thrilled that you fully enjoyed your time with us. While diving through Iowa headed to Wisconsin we were looking for an early dinner with a river view and found this place on Tripadvisor. Some of the reviews were iffy, but our priority was "river view". Glad we went for it! Friendly staff. Yes, you place your order with a friendly order-taker after reviewing the wall-sized menu just inside the front door. They give you your drinks immediately. Then they cook your food and bring it to your table. Works great! We got the BLT special w/fries and the recommended pineapple brat. From the big outside deck you overlook the boat ramp and marina with a panoramic view of the Mississippi. Inside seating is plentiful and surrounded by big windows with the same views. Then our food arrived and we forgot about the view temporarily because: fries! And it was not a "find-the-pineapple brat" but was full of juicy goodness and topped with kraut and relish as requested and completely delicious. BLT was top notch. Big parking lot too. All good. Recommend!

Fort Mulliganâs is some good grub! They were busy but got us seated quickly. It is clean. Lots of menu options. Food was hit or miss. The cheese curds were delicious but the spinach & artichoke dip was not. The food came so fast that the waitress hardly had time to check on us. Overall a good experience. There is a kidâs menu. Not much tho for a vegetarian.

This is a quintessential Wisconsin supper club. The steaks are great, done the way you ask. Our server was attentive and friendly. I had their special that included adding crab meat stuffed pasta. It had great flavor, rich sauce. It was the perfect accent to my steak. A relaxing atmosphere with excellent steak and a well crafted Brandy Old Fashion. What could be better!
