Things to do in Roda

A lovely place to eat over looking the sea. First time I have ever eaten here after visiting Roda the last 5 years and wish I had gone sooner. Food is all cooked fresh to order so expect a little wait. You get a good portion size and well seasoned and tasty food. I had the grilled snapper but all the food being brought out looked nice. It's only a small place so you might need to wait for a table depending on what time you get there. Recommend a visit.

We serve homemade food, fresh salads, all typical Greek .We are new owners of the grill house since 2017.
Only had takeawayâs because been a solo person, nice to go with someone when itâs very busy. I had a pork giros and also another time I tried the chicken giros and chips, never tasted such fabulous food and so reasonable. The place is spotless and the staff are friendly.

Stopped in for dinner but be advised that the spit roasted meats donât become available until about 7:30PM in off season. We had lamb chops that were plentiful, taziki, grilled mushrooms (recommended), greek salad, and pita plus liter of acceptable house wine for â¬48. Service was good. We will probably return.
Having heard of this place a couple of years ago we decided to give it a try. It is not in the tourist triangle and no views but it is well worth a visit. This place is open all year around so caters for the locals out of the season. We first tried it at lunch. It was just opening so we had a little wait. The menu blew me away. Real traditional food plus the usual staples. Having tried Kokkeresti on another island I was pleased to see it here. They don't always stock it so we ordered it for the following Saturday dinner time. If you don't like offal, don't try it. Our lunch was amazing, my husband had the grilled sardines, not just 6-8 as you usually get but a plateful and so fresh. I had a souvlakia, it was huge and delicious. The chips were not frozen, they were real freshly cut. We went back for the Kokkeresti, my husband tried it for the first time and loved it. We then visited for the 3rd time with a Greek friend and his family. He was blown away with the place and happily tucked into his plate of fresh sardines. I love courgette fritters, my starter of them were the best I had ever tried, so fresh and plentiful I shared them around. There is no frozen pre-cooked food on this menu. Some dishes are not always available, just ask. The French and Russian tourists have discovered this place apparently. There is a very large parrot just inside who dances and sings along to the music.
