After our first meal in 2017 which we couldnât fault.... they served the best fillet steak Iâve had. It came in at 80 euros. Yes very expensive. But for two and the quality of food that was ok.Fast forward 2018, very poor. Service not the same. Food was not a patch on the previous year. Things may have changed in 2019. But we decided not to spend our money there.Dear,pmcqueen66 we understand that mistakes are human and that when they are not intentionally made they are forgiven. So it's a mistake to take your comments for us after reading it carefully, and concluding that you are referring to another restaurant.And you wrote a review that does not represent usBecause we've never had a fillet in our menu, our most expensive dish is the grill tuna, which costs 18 euros, and the service girls are the same from 2016 (thankfully for us). And the kitchen manager is the same thing from 2009 You might be confused with another restaurant we hope to find out soon ...

Our second visit to this place confirmed that the food here really is excellent. We had feta cheese baked in thin dough as a starter and then the lamb kleftiko, rabbit in red sauce, stifado and cod with garlicky mushed potatoes. And, of course, a big bowl of Greek salad. All the dishes were sooo tasty. Just the rosé wine was a bit of let-down, quite sour. At the end some vibrant fruits on the house. For us the best food we ate here in Lixoury.

We visited this place on a couple of occasions this year after being taken there by a Greek friend. We found the people very friendly and the food and drinks very good. Quite large portions too! You could take your time and not feel as though you had to leave when finished. Only a short taxi ride ensures you don't go past it. A great traditional taverna and one to be revisited again by us and recommended.

A nice bar on the Lixouri waterfront with an indoor section, an outdoor area next to the water and an upstairs area serving food. The staff, in common with almost everyone on Kefalonia, are very friendly and the drinks and snacks are decent value considering the location.

The food is wonderful using fresh ingredients, well prepared and presented and served with pride and with love. We had breakfast/brunch here every morning inside the restaurant by a window overlooking the beach, such a gorgeous way to start the day with omlettes, freshly squeezed orange juice and coffee. Dined here on 3 evenings, ate a mix of fish, meat and vegetarian dishes, all our meals were exceptional. Very good, nicely chilled house wine and great coffees too. We visited early May at the start of the season when it was a bit too windy to enjoy the terrace and beach. Canât wait to return to tis Pareas in the summer to dine outside on the terrace and try out those sunbeds! Thank you Gerasimos and your wonderful family for your kind hospitality and lovely memories!

One of the best cozy places to spend your summer vacation. Marios is fantastic. It is actually a grand slam: great food, tasty cocktails, spicy music, uplifting atmosphere, next to the sea. Quite impossible to complain. If you are near by or even at the other end of Kefalonia, you got to give it a try for sure.

Every was great at this restaurant, the servers were extremely nice even though they had poor english. The food was very good and plentiful, I ordered the saganaki mussels and I got a plate that was literally full of mussels. But the best part about the restaurant was the view. If you come here you should try the tables on the balcony as the view was breathtaking. In our 10 day stay in Cephalonia this was the only restaurant we visited twice. Could not recommend this place enough.

My friend and I stayed by Petani Beach for a week in July and ate here for breakfast, lunch, and dinner most of the days. Our favorite dishes were the saganaki, the grilled seabass with vegetables, the calamari, and the MOUSSAKA!!!Hands down this is one of the top dining experiences we had while on the island of Kefalonia. Our meals were enhanced more by the perfect beach and sunset views. If you are visiting this island you MUST pay Taverna Ksouras a visit and spend a few hours on the beach with a zombie cocktail in hand.have funLauren

Beautiful place. Very friendly service. It is obvious that they care about the quality of the food. I imagine everything is home made. Today Lamb Kleftiko was on special. Home cooked. Apparently it took 24 hours to prepare and cook. It was amazing, served in the parchment that it was cooked in.I only wish I could go back and try something else.
