Traditional Greek cuisine, Kefalonian recipes made with local products and meat on the grill. Enjoy your meal in a relaxed environment with a great view. Located very close to Ammes beach.
We visited this restaurant twice during our week in Kefalonia as we liked it so much. Itâs away from the other restaurants in Svoronata in a peaceful setting overlooking the sea.Although there is not much choice of main dishes for vegetarians there are plenty of starters including the baked aubergine which I had as a main course. The service is a little slower than some of the other restaurants but this was not a problem for us and the food was definitely worth the wait.

We visited En Kefallinia on our last night and wished we had found it sooner! A beautiful setting surrounded by flowers and herbs and you could even see the chef picking items from the garden as they were ordered - you can't get fresher than that! 3 of us had the special of homemade pasta with pork which was absolutely delicious. The cheesecake made with homemade marmalade was one of the best desserts I have ever eaten. All the food was fresh and light, and was followed up beautifully by a small taster of the liquor made by the owner. The owner was kind enough to tell us about how they had built the restaurant originally as their family home after the earthquake in 1953. She also showed us a wonderful book all about the island. If we return to Kefalonia we will definitely return. Absolutely recommend trying it out to anyone staying near Lakithra.

We were recommended to try Kastro by two other couples we met on holiday. The specials menu had a list of mouthwatering cheesecakes and we opted for the Black Forest cheesecake on the recommendation of others. It was delicious! The setting is beautiful and staff very friendly. We'd happily return for a meal.

Warm, family environment with Greek traditional dishes.. Right meals of the day and in the souvla.with fresh meats and food cooked with the most pure materials...We are waiting for you in our perennial summer veranda .. You we wait and welcome you... Maria
Maria and her husband have been amazing hosts and food delicious. We arrived on a Wednesday evening very late, they were about to close and not much choice of food left because they have been extremely busy with many customers that day, and Maria prepares all dishes fresh everyday. But they have been amazing, welcoming us and feeding us with delicious grilled meat. They were very friendly and the outside covered terrace is lovely.

We visited here last year and had a good evening. We returned this year Thursday 12th September which was Greek music night. We entered the restaurant (which was busy) and the owner came up to us and just looked at us with a blank expression. I said âdo you have a table for two?â to which he replied âinside or out?â I said âinside if possibleâ The owner replied âno tables!â and walked off. We were half expecting the restaurant to be fully booked but that is no excuse for treating your potential customers like this. Very rude indeed! We would have visited another night however we found several other local restaurants with a sea view and much friendlier owners. I doubt that you will have a drop in bookings due to my review but the owners front of house manners need to be improved.Soooo...⦠As Trip Advisor deem this review justified in giving other travellers a 'Biased' opinion and obviously an informative 'overall' opinion of our restaurant (which, I guess, would/should also cover the food quality, STAFF service, atmosphere and value for money right?????) I guess we should say a few words of our own Does it fully inform/truly review any of these categories? Or was it merely someone turning up at 9 pm in the middle of an extremely popular Greek Night (you only have to read other peoples reviews, afterall, about the amazing atmosphere - the dancing, the singing the plate smashing - the wonderfully talented musicians) and being somewhat disappointed that the owner could not wave his magic wand and produce a free table in a prime position when no previous reservation had been made? We don't think the owner was rude, he was busy and rushing around trying to ensure the other 200 plus customers, that night (most of whom had reserved a table a day or 2 before) were having a wonderful time. The owner is not a seating 'host' - in fact he cooks the majority of the dishes on the menu by day, he takes the orders in the evenings and oversees the 'WHOLE' operation ( a VERY busy man) - forgive him for having to 'check/look' if any tables were still available. When there weren't - he advised you there were none left - sorry if you were disappointed - but it was a 'fact' - when there are no tables left, there are no tables left - if he were to apologise to you a hundred times over, it wouldn't have changed the fact that there are 'no tables left'. It still amazes us that someone is able to review our restaurant on the basis that they didn't actually get in. How can that be a justified review? Does that mean that people who are merely passing by in the street can also review our restaurant. For those of you who want to see a true representation of both the restaurant and the owner's great hospitality - you need to read on!

The only restaurant we returned to in our stay of September. Wonderful homecooked food cooked by grandparents and served by son and daughter in law Peter and Anna. The food was simply fantastic with the warmest of warm welcomes on the whole island . Background low level greek music enhances the experience. Home cooked food even the cheesecake home cooked. Cannot recommend enough. GO!

We have visited this restauarant on a number of occassions ans it is very popular.and if possible it is advisable to book, particularly at weekends. A bit off the beaten track, it has a superb location overlooking Avithos Beach. The food is traditional Greek fayre but very good size portions. Friendly staff.

Set 'deep' amoungst the orange trees, Esperides is a lovely taverna that offers a really lovely alternative to the typical Greek taverna. Lovely authentic Greek food presented in a modern approach. Friendly hostess and the best and most devoted Maitre d' you'll ever find (the dog). It was a long walk from our hotel, but I would go back for sure.

In the heart of the central square of Argostoli, there is a warm family running restaurant with traditional Greek cooking, fresh products (from our own farm) wines of the region and generous portions in cheap prices. All of this waits for you in our lovely
This was recommended in an old rough guide. We all tried something different, the meat pie was apparently super, I tried the aubergines imam after a salad starter. It was delicious. Thereâs a covered garden area through the restaurant which was perfect on a hot day.
