Wonderful stay in Inverness!

My partner and I loved this lodge so much! The rooms were spotlessly clean and comfortable and the hostess was amazing, so helpful and accommodating! We had a very early tour booked and she was very kind to prepare an early breakfast for us. The breakfast was absolutely 5 stars, super fresh and delicious. The location is very quiet. Thank you for a lovely stay, we would highly recommend to anyone visiting Inverness! We are already looking to rebook!

Really enjoyed out stay

The room was quite a bit larger than I expected. It and the bathroom were clean and well decorated. Parking at the back of the house made it that much better, as street parking was ridiculous. The host was great fun. Breakfast was ok. Location is great for getting around. We walked everywhere.

Don't expect to get much sleep

We arrived to a music festival across the road. If we had been aware of this we would have not booked. Not very helpful with them saying it stops at 10.30. I literally couldn't hear the TV over the music. At night I was woke up by snoring from the next room and in the morning by everyone coming for breakfast and the noise from the dining room (Did not have breakfast as was not included) Even though we had booked 2 rooms they were 2 buildings away from each other. As other people have said on here it is more a small hotel than a friendly guesthouse.

Strathness House

A Victorian terraced townhouse, set on the banks of the river Ness and overlooking the Inverness Castle. Strathness House is a family-run guest house with all the facilities of a small hotel. Of the twelve rooms, eight have beautiful river and castle views. Situated in a prime area of the city centre, it is the ideal place to stay in Inverness where emphasis is placed on the guest with the personal service that is given by the staff.

Would stay there again. Staff friendly, lovely room that was as seen on the website! Nothing bad to say.

Fantastic place. Right on the river front. Close to most things in the area. Came as part of a tour group so we didnt explore the city a lot but we were able to walk to grocery stores and restaurants within about 5 minutes from the hotel. We got the room that was advertised on the website. Like the actual room looking over the waterfront. Never before have I been able to say this. It was beautiful in the day and the night. Little noisy downstairs as the restaraunt was below but this was gone as soon as the restaraunt closed for the evening. Restaraunt was fantastic. Probably the best Indian food I have had in my life. All the staff were friendly, helpful and I have nothing bad to say. Would stay there again.

Delightful Guest House

Reviewed By emilyhaleswalker

We spent almost two weeks touring Scotland and Wales and this was hands down my favorite place to stay. From the moment we walked in, it was cozy, clean, and smelled wonderful! Jacqueline was an excellent host - she made every part of our stay a delight! She was friendly and helpful, gave great recommendations and made a delicious breakfast. Our room was large and very comfortable. And house was perfectly situated - far enough away from the city to be very quiet at night, but close enough to be an easy walk to get into the middle of town. Cannot recommend this place enough!

MOD stay

Reviewed By 182meridat

Our choir had a wonderful stay here for the Mod 2021. Lovely clean rooms, nice breakfast and welcoming hostess. We were met on arrival outside and helped with our luggage and given a permit for free parking. All rooms are en suite and the shower was lovely. Breakfast was either full Scottish or just the cereal and toast. Both were nice. The wifi signal was good in all rooms. We had our own key to get back in after the evenings festivities. Leah was really helpful, offering extra towels and tea. We would definitely come back. Where I've put 'not sure' in the comments below, I really mean 'not applicable' but there wasn't space for this.

Nice, clean, quiet and friendly

Just outside the center of Inverness, but within walkable distance you find this guest house that just has a few rooms. Our room was quiet and clean and had it's own bathroom. WiFi was very stable and fast. There is ample parking space. We skipped breakfast, that could have been obtained as an extra.
