We're Always Cookin' There's something about a freshly made meal, prepared just for you. Maybe it's a waffle sundae to celebrate the day you get your braces off, or a plate full of loaded hash browns after a Saturday morning soccer game. Whatever the occa
Stopped for dinner while traversing I-469 between US-24 and I-69. Server was friendly, prices reasonable, food decent. A bit more attention to more quickly bussing tables and straightening wouldn't hurt, but not a bad dining experience at all. Worth considering.
See what the Colonel's cooking at your local KFC. Stop in today and enjoy our world famous chicken - it's Finger Lickin' Good!
It seems like every single time I have gone into this location they do not have what we want. They have also had some issues with employees and poor attitudes. Not everyone but enough to make it unpleasant. We have started going to the one in Fort Wayne by State and Coliseum now.

During a recent stay in the area I visited this establishment twice with friends who are local and frequent it often. On both occasions the staff was efficient, friendly and fun -- quick to make patrons feel at home. This is a bar, first and foremost, rather than a restaurant - even though the menu is quite extensive. Had the breaded tenderloin sandwich on the first visit....which was pretty good. Their cold sides (Cole slaw, macaroni salad and potato salad) are homemade and very good. The second visit I ordered the "crispy" chicken wings which were not crispy at all. Another in our party ordered the Patty Melt which was on rye toast and not grilled. Their chef salad was ok - nothing special. If you go, go for the tavern experience rather than the food. It's packed with locals who are friendly. FYI, Indiana has an interesting smoking law -- if the establishment is considered a tavern and does not allow anyone under 21, then smoking is allowed inside. East Haven is such a place. Would definitely go back for a brew and maybe an appetizer but not a meal.
Let me begin by stating that we are not gamblers, but were making our annual night-on-the-way to the Indy 500 stay at the Holiday Inn Express in New Haven, IN. While we drove into the heart of New Haven for our usual dinner at Rack & Helen's (both hotel and restaurant have been previously reviewed by RoadTripBlondie) we could not help but notice a new establishment at the strip mall across the street from the hotel. After dinner, we decided to park the car back at the hotel and walk to the Winner's Circle Brewpub - just to pop our head in and check it out. While this establishment is obviously focused on horse track betting, it is a clean, comfortable, friendly and fresh bar/restaurant. We sat at the bar, where there were two rows of televisions above the bar. Half of the TV's were tuned into various racetracks, the other half were offering various televised sporting events of the evening. One side of the bar is non smoking, the other side was for smokers. The ventilation is very good - while we could see the smokers across the bar, there was no smoke visible the air and my clothes did not absorb any smoke. Unfortunately, we were not hungry because the menu was attractive, well priced and the food I did see served looked very good. So, we don't gamble, and weren't hungry. Why, then you ask did we stay? $3 craft beers in frosty-cold mugs. The beer selection was excellent, the beer was fresh and the bartender was so very helpful in helping us to select our flavors of the night! The fact that we walked from the hotel and there were no designated-driver issues, we enjoyed the beer, the atmosphere and watched NHL hockey playoffs. Truth be told, I am a horse lover and found my attention turning from the hockey game to the simulcast from Santa Anita Racetrack! We appreciated the fact that the staff of the Winner's Circle Brewpub never made us feel bad that we are not gamblers. That fact alone is a big reason we will return to this establishment on future trips to New Haven. Of note is that children are not permitted in this facility.

Richard's is a cheap but adequate restaurant. It has breakfast, lunch, and dinner items on the menu. A lot of people say the food is not much. But we have found the menu to be adequate and delicious. I especially like the chicken. It's much better than KFC in my opinion. Service has been good too. We come to this restaurant about once a month.

Trion is family, couple or singles friendly craft beer pub with separate bar area family room on the main floor. For larger private gatherings, they have a separate separate two floor banquet area with its own bar. They now have free WiFi. They offer 58 different beers on tap from around the world, as well as canned / bottle domestic & imports. Further, they have a full wet bar, note they have a special selection of bourbons. This is an old establishment on a corner lot in downtown New Haven. They have street parking as well as a parking lot in the back. You may enter through the front or a back entrance if you used the rear parking area. The interior is nothing special but very serviceable and welcoming. The staff was pleasant and efficient. Our foursome sat in a booth on the bar side. The huge bar was decorative. They had a couple TVs providing visuals distractions to accompany our conversation. They have large menu with a selection of appetizers, salads, cracker crust pizza, Trion Rolls (calzones), wraps, half pound burgers, sandwiches and entree (fall off the bone ribs, chicken, shrimp, fish). We tried their fried mushrooms ap, which was fine. A Vegetarian burger, Avocado burger and Teriyaki chicken sub. All were good. I had the sub with fries. The sandwich was packed with nicely cooked chicken and the fries had a flavorful spicy coating. We had a nice time at Trion and would not hesitate to return.

The mark of a great staff is how they react when things do not go correctly. The somehow put my others burrito on my plate. they discovered this before they brought out the food. Brought my plate out rather than warmer it. Explained the situation and shortly brought out my others plate (less than 2 minutes later) it was obvious that the wait staff made getting this plate out a priority. As always the burritos were great. Again great job by the staff!!Thank you for the review and feedback! Hope to see you again soon.
