Stopped here for lunch on our way to the Elkhart area. Nice little deli that makes sandwiches and hot dogs. My hot dog was great; can't remember the name of it but it had peppers on it. Hubby had a reuben. Definitely worth the stop.

Stopped by with friends to visit newly remodeled Brass Rail. Place looks great and what a change, very good change. Place was packed with large groups and small. First waitress for cocktails a tad unfriendly and slow. Seated for dinner very nice waitress who was delightful! Menu seemed the same but a nice dinner.

The food is outstanding and the views of the golf course only adds to the dining experience. On the pricey side for cocktails or wine but so worth a night out with great food and atmosphere. Check out their deals they run sometimes. One of my favorites in the area.

Dickies is located at the Swan Lake Resort. It is part of the main hotel complex. Diners have seating overlooking a landscaped pond and several of the resort's golf fairways. Dickies provides casual dining. They are open for dinner seven nights a week and lunch too on Friday and Saturday. Their menu is a modern twist on American standbys with variety of freshly made pasta dishes, seafood, aged beef, pork, BBQ, an app selection, sandwiches and burgers. We found the service great. The setting was open and airy. TV's were high on the walls in the bar / dining area for viewing sports. Also, present was a huge bar, if you prefer not to sit at one of the tables. Tables could seat two or be pulled together for larger groups (we were eight). We tried a varied selection of their salmon, seafood ravioli, shrimp & grits, pork chop, Airplane chicken and Famous Dickie's Burger. We found all of the food tasty, fresh and well prepared. I actually had some of the grits which were good and the Burger, which was excellent - prepared rare the way I love it. We definitely appreciated and enjoyed the food at Dickies and would gladly return.
Come on down and try Vinnie's MF Ribs! We are a family friendly establishment in our upstairs Carnegie Hall and a full bar on the lower level (21 and over only downstairs).
