We eat here about once a month. The ribs are good and tender. The price is right. The servers are very friendly and polite. A good place to eat for lunch or dinner. Highly recommended.
I have been coming to Broadway BBQ for as long as I can remember, since it was located north of 80/94. When it relocated 10-15 years ago, I was worried that the flavor may change, however that worry was quickly eliminated and to this day they still serve the same delicious food. One quick, and important note - this place is CASH ONLY. That really isn't an issue as there is a Chase Bank ATM just a couple blocks north, so grabbing cash shouldn't be a problem if you arent already carrying. But please do the Owners and the customers a favor and make sure to have cash on hand when ordering. Although I have tried most of the menu, my go to order is the tips and links combo with sauce on everything. The sauce is more of a mild/open pit type flavor but goes very well with their meat and fries. The tips are always delicious and meaty and the links are the best I have found in the Region. Of course a piece of white bread comes to soak it all up.This place blows what I consider to be their main competitor, King Gyros, out of the water. If you are going for any BBQ, please drive a couple miles further north and treat yourself to far superior BBQ than King offers.
Indiana, United States Food Guide: 5 Greek food Must-Eat Restaurants & Street Food Stalls in Gary
As an over the road trucker it is a challenge to find tasty quality food . It's Time 2 Eat solves this problem in Gary ,IN . Located at very short walking distance from the truck stops at exit #9 off I-80 ( grand st). While it may not be much to look at , It's Time provides fresh daily home made BBQ . Today I had the St. Louis rib dinner special . 4 bones and 2 home made sides ! Cost $8.25 ! Compare to the nearby truck stop diner food quality and cost this is a major score !!! The meat was tender and tasty and fell off the bone . You have your choice of 3 sauces sweet , spicy or a mix of both . I had the mix delicious ! Fresh cole slaw and red beans with white rice also great ! This is a must stop when in the area !

We love BBQ and would probably consider ourselves a bit of a BBQ snob. Haha! We definitely judge restaurants based on their sauce. This place passes our snob test. :) The only meat we've tried thus far is the pulled pork, as it's one of our favs. We've probably had it about 5 times now, in the short amount of time they've been open. It's good. Consistency may not be the greatest, as on a couple occasions it was a tad on the fatty side, and at least once it was not real hot (a simple fix that our microwave took care of) but overall it keeps us coming back. The fries are always cooked perfectly crisp and lightly salted. The mac n cheese is decent and my husband says the baked beans are good too. Pricing is pretty good for the sandwiches/sides. I haven't been in the place. From what I understand there's a small seating area. We've always done takeout. There's limited hours, as they're only open Thurs-Sun and they don't open up until noon. Thankful for another option in our small community...and one that's actually worth repeating!!
