The owner, Pete, is always around to take orders by phone or greet guests dining in or picking up food. Dining in is always welcoming, food is very fresh and hot, the dining room is comfortable and service is good. Take out is equally good and the portion sizes are HUGE and the prices are very reasonable. Flavors are tasty. Delivery fees are low as well.

This little Northwestern Indiana gem is located in an otherwise somewhat run-down strip mall, but overlook the outside and take a chance. Fuji is a small restaurant, and the inside isn't much fancier than the outside. However, presumably that's because all their effort goes into the delicious sushi rolls. Many times when we go to a sushi restaurant, I'll stick to sashimi rather than sushi, but our daughter insisted we had to get sushi here, and I'm glad she did. There are rolls for pretty much any taste. There are crunchy, spicy, vegetarian--just about anything you might want. It was so hard to even choose! My personal favorite was probably the caterpillar roll, wrapped in slices of avocado,, but everything was amazing. There are other items on the menu, including traditional ramen soup. Everything we had was very fresh-tasting. Service was good, although the server we had spoke so quietly I could hardly hear him. This is not inexpensive supermarket sushi, although the prices were not unreasonable. This is definitely going onto the "must visit" list when we go up to see our daughter!

I took my partner for Valentines Day, The Restaurant can confirm my reservation under Welch. This was the worst Food I have ever had!!! I was so shocked, female Thai ChefI expected excellence!!! I ordered Surf and Turf. It came like a stew of Beef and Lobster, overpowered by a Soy based sauce, Frozen Lobster ,little pieces and then big pieces of Beef,my plate was a mess, and for $60.00. I was discounted half, but I wantedgood Thai Food... Not Here, stay clear......its terriable.I am extremely sorry about your experience here at Asparagus. Our chef Tammy isn't Thai she is Vietnamese and we are a fusion restaurant that has a bit of Thai & Vietnamese. We do have some really good Thai dishes like our curries & our noodle dishes. The dish that you ordered is not a Thai dish but does contain Thai basil. We really wanted to fix your dish that day and would have taken it off the bill but you asked to take it with you. We would have loved to fix our mistake and make you something that you would have enjoyed more. The surf & turf description on the menu does state that it is a stir fry dish:surf & turf Asian-variations on the classic surf & turf beginning with a 6-ounce filet mignon your choice of surf, stir fried with bacon & Thai basil in a spicy garlic sauce served with garlic mashed potatoes lobster tail 60 - sea scallops 55 - shrimp 50

The ginger chicken dish was delicious. There were generous portions of mushrooms, peppers, and chicken. The flavors were just right - I enjoyed every bite. My daughter thoroughly enjoyed her meal too. I will definitely visit again next time I am passing through.
