We met friends here for brunch, and were very pleased with the experience. The facility is clean and well maintained, with an upscale breakfast-themed cafe ambiance. Our server, Patty, was friendly and attentive (and very accommodating with the hazelnut creamer). The Carbonara Benedict, and the smoked salmon Benedict were both very tasty. (A note: if one wants a heartier side than mixed greens; one can substitute fried potatoes with their Benedict selection.)If one has a taste for a great breakfast oriented meal; this destination is certainly a solid option.

While visiting my aunt we decided to visit and enjoy some dessert and coffee. The restaurant itself is beautiful and the cakes looked amazing, although rather pricey. Upon making our way to the hostess, we were told it would be a 45 minute wait, but we could get takeout and sit outdoors in the courtyard. So we went that option. While waiting for our slices of cake, another woman walked in. I thought to myself she would have a long wait, but no, she was seated immediately. I might add that we are not young girls, but 72 and 60. However, we had on capris, shirts and both of us had baseball caps on. Apparently we were not dressed appropriately to be worthy of a seat. Needless to say, will not be back to this restaurant.Linda, We have been booked with reservations for a few months in advance. I am sure the woman who was seated had a reservation. If there is not a reservation, we would seat you at the next available table, which would have been a 45 minute wait time or shorter. We would never not seat someone if we had an available table. We love all of our customers and are grateful for each guest. We hope you return and we look forward to seeing you.

Carmel has many good places for breakfast. And this one is not an obvious choice as it is in a multistory office building away from any other restaurants. But definitely worth looking for. Very comfortable and wth very good service. There is very little space for waiting inside the restaurant; but the service is quick and wait should not be very long even at peak periods. Do ask about the quiche of the day; mine was excellent.

Stopped in for breakfast on a weekday. Even though it was late, there was a good crowd. I ordered the Hash Browns with 2 eggs. It comes with toast and I ordered an English muffin. The hash browns were homemade with large potato chunks and small pieces of corned beef. Obviously not from a can or commercial provider. Coffee was self serve there in the room with 3 choices. Great place for something different from the corporate offerings.

I really like Bub’s Cafe. The food is always fresh and delicious. Getting there is a little rough because of the construction, but it is worth the struggle. The portions are huge. The outdoor seating is nice and overlooks the bike trail. I don’t know that I love the new setting of tall buildings that Carmel is constructing around the homey atmosphere of the downtown area. Just something to get used to, I guess.-good coffee-innovative dishes-consistent quality -comfortable indoor and outdoor seating-bread bowl breakfasts woohoo!Definitely a must visit.

The food and service in this small restaurant has quite the following due to its tasty and substantial portions along with its very friendly staff. Their breakfast menu includes several Hawaiian Island variations on a typical breakfast menu i.e Aloha Eggs Benny (Benedict). Though our wait when arriving around 11:15 am was close to 20 minutes, it was worth the wait. Ray or server was pleasant and professional.Hello! Thanks so much for taking the time to write a great review for A2Z on Trip Advisor. Yes, we are small (56 seats currently) but we hope to add to our space soon! Being a little Mom & Pop may actually help us grow the following that we have been fortunate enough to enjoy the last 5 years. That and great food and servers!! I have passed on your compliments to our Kitchen staff and also your server, Ray. We hope to see you again ❤️a2Z Café
