Visit us for lunch, or early breakfast and get a fresh, home-cooked meal from some of the kindest servers and cooks around. Our dishes are made from scratch and we always use fresh ingredients. Choose from a variety of diner classics like omelets and skil
Met some friends here the other day and we went early so as to avoid the crowds, which worked out perfectly as we could have a leisurely breakfast without holding up a table. This time I went back to my favorite "Mighty Irish Skillet" and it did not disappoint. There is enough there for 3 meals! This is a cash only place.....so no credit cards. But I do think the meals are reasonably priced. This place is small, so if you come here at a busy time or on the weekend chances are you will have a wait.

We stopped here for dinner and were greeted and seated promptly. We ordered the Avo-cobb-o salad and California Chicken sandwich. The sandwich was ok and additional fries were brought to the table, but the salad was mediocre at best. I guess that was our mistake - not ordering burgers here. We will give it another chance and try the burgers next time.

Tyler's Tender Restaurant is located on U.S. Highway 30 in the Fox Run Plaza, which is a bit east of Indianapolis Blvd. (U.S. Highway 41). There is plenty of parking as it is in a small shopping center, and it is the nearest business to U.S. 30. When you walk in, not only are you taken back to a 50's type diner decor, but you will also walk in to a restaurant that has lots of memorabilia and railroad stuff, that a kid or a rail buff will enjoy. There is an interactive O-gauge train layout in the middle of the dining area that is well protected from prying kids' hands, but still allows them to start and stop it and turn on other things on the layout, as well. There is a ride-on train in a smaller room on the other side of the counter with stools, which also has a train that brings you food on a model railroad flatbed car, if you're at the counter. There is also a separate room for a 1,600 sq. ft. arcade which is geared towards younger kids. The bathrooms have a second kids' toilet in each, which does make it kind of nice if you have to take a grandkid to the bathroom - often! Our server, Taylor B., was very efficient and very friendly to the kids. He also was the person who would run the ride-on train (one ride for a child is $1.00). The menu is creative with railroad names for many of the items. We ordered a cup of chili with sour cream, onions and cheddar cheese & the obligatory oyster crackers, as well as sweet potato tots with maple sugar and cinnamon. We also ordered a Lil' Engines chicken nuggets. We ordered three mini bacon cheeseburgers which came with French fries. Finally, we ordered a taco salad. Everyone enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. The prices are reasonable for this type of entertaining restaurant.

Forget 'casual dining.' That's an industry term so out of touch with how consumers eat and drink today. For premium quality and style; fare that's at times familiar and other times adventurous and a laid-back modern setting, Houlihan's is a true original.
Met a friend for lunch at the Schererville location. My friend highly recommended the fish tacos so we both ordered the lunch special with soup. Her 3year old grandson ordered the kids cheese pizza. Our lunch was tasty. But, after returning home at the end of the day, I was not feeling the best. I awoke at 4:30am feeling sick. By 6:00am into full blown vomiting and diarrhea. Contacted my friend to see how she was feeling...very similar issues. We have food poisoning! I called the restaurant at 11:00am and spoke to the manager, Jenny. She took some information about our order and where we were seated and the time we dined with them. Was told I would hear back from her after she located the receipt. I have waited all afternoon with no call-back. If you value your health, continue your search for a better restaurant with a more responsive staff! I will never return!

Omg! What can I say! My hubby and I ordered the 4 dollar special. It came with two eggs, bacon, sausage...the tastiest ever! and pancakes and toast! It was amazing!! So so good! Our daughter ordered the French toast topped with strawberries and whip cream. That looked wonderful! Whenever we are in town we go there!

We visited during January and they offered a tribute to Elvis with a burger topped with peanut butter sauce and banana. It was fabulous!! They never fail to disappoint. Their regular menu includes Taipai lettuce wrap with a marinated chicken breast and sweet asian slaw and a turkey burger with toppings like avocado mayo and butter lettuce topped with Chipotle Monterrey cheese. Delicious!! Full bar and a great salad menu too!Thank you for sharing your experience with us and we look forward to your next visit, Cheers!

Usually eat here once or twice a month with a good friend and this place never disappoints. Everything we have ordered has been good and generous portions. The servers have always been friendly and attentive. Can the place be noisy, yes, but that is normal for a busy place with lots of people talking. Some times the place is so busy that you need to park in the parking lot next door. The only problem I have is when you leave.......well, if you are going south it is OK, but if you want to turn north that can be a problem with all of the traffic on 41.

This restaurant has been in the same location for years. Many have celebrated weddings, graduations, birthdays, anniversaries, even celebration of life. Tiebelâs is best known for their fried chicken and lake perch. We never mess an opportunity to dine on the lake perch when we are in town. The boned and buttered perch is the best there is! Not up for a fancy dinner out.....try the coffee shop on the southwest corner. Here you can get the luncheon portion of perch(an order includes 6 pieces of the fish) for a nominal price. The meal comes with slaw, pickled beets, or cottage cheese, rice or potato(baked available after 3pm), rolls and vegetable of the day. Canât decide whether to get perch or chicken.....they offer a plate of both. You canât go wrong. It is the best, with service to match!

Decent beer selection, wide variety of sandwiches, appetizers, and salads, and premium specialty pizzas cooked to perfection....one word- YUM. If you are a pesto and veggie lover, they have a pizza called Magic Potion that's amazing. It traditionally comes with sausage, but my mom doesn't eat meat, so she orders the pizza without the sausage every time we go. It is so dang good....great. Now I'm hungry. Hahaha, well at least I know what I am doing for dinner tonight!
