Had the Hot Brown, it definitely lived up to its reputation. I couldnât eat the whole thing. The Ceasar Salad was made tableside and it was delicious($25 for two). Jamaal and Harold were delightful servers. With the Main Dining room and bar closed we were concerned going down to the J Graham Cafe but pleasantly surprised. Promptly acknowleged and seated. Very attentive and accomodating service. First visit so there really is no choice except the Hot Brown. Turkey was perfectly cooked, plump, juicy and sliced. Dish was very good and a true regional original like a Waldorf salad. Full bar. Mint juilp was served in glass rather than cup and ice could have been shaved not crused. Derby pie was very rich but completed a bucket list dining expereince for Louisville. One not to be missed.Dear Guest,Always nice to read â not to be missed! Appreciate all your good thoughts. Please let me know when your travels next bring you our way and I will reserve a nice table. I do hope you'll return.Regards,Brad WalkerVice President & General [email protected]

Louisville loves its legends and Jeff Ruby's Steakhouse has quickly become one. Modeled after the successful Cincinnati restaurant, this steakhouse pays homage to its adopted hometown featuring both Kentucky-inspired menu items and unique interior decorat
The people, the food, the feel, and guests are genuinely Louisville and nothing short of fantastic.I start with the scallops, move to the filet and have never been disappointed. The bourbon selection is second to none and always accompanied with the commentary usually reserved for conversation about fine wines.

You must go to the historic and beautiful Brown hotel and get the Hot Brown they invented. Great service in a wonderful setting and when paired with the best selection of Bourbon in the world you can go to anyplace better to sample what Louisville is all about.

For three years, Brooklyn and the Butcher has pushed the envelop, embraced the new, and changed what it means to be a steakhouse. For us, modern is more than just a tagline; itâs a personal challenge to pursue greatness in every aspect of fine hospitality
I was extremely happy with the meal I had, the 9 OZ filet with a baked potato as a side. I was dissapointed that a salad was not included in the dinnrer. My filet was excellent and baked potato was excellent as well. However, my wife didn't want to ruin my meal, so she waited until we were on the way home to tell me that every bite of her sirloin had gristle in it. I don't remember what side she had, but apparently it was okay. And I was ready to strongly recommend this place.............too bad. My wife new I had had a tough week, and she didn't want to ruin my very nice experience. So if I average things out, I would have to say go to Texas Roadhouse where the quality is always good, 99% of the time. My filet was better, but not at twice the price. We really liked the bar atmosphere and the two bartenders behind the counter, but that wasn't enough to give a glowing account. We will probably go back in the Fall, but that one will determine whether or not we ever go back again.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Food was very good and served quickly. California Club was great with crispy bacon, turkey, avocado slices and tangy mustard sauce. Good location, right in the middle of downtown and close to many shops. Easy to get to with free parking. Cute decor and nice atmosphere. Great for breakfast or lunch. Clean restroom. Have been here before and look forward to returning again soon.

First visit was worth the trip across the Ohio - Staff was friendly with our server Dennisha very knowledgeable about the menu helping us make great decisions! The restaurant has many different seating options - inside, garage area with doors up or down and outside seating. They also have a private area upstairs. Recommend the Classic Reuben - very lean! Also started with a Half Loaf of bread - great salty taste!
