It was not a calm place to be as music was playing very loudly. Choice of food was also limited. Interior was good but when I asked for wash basin I was directed to a tap on roadside!

Ambience: 10/10 Food: 10/10It's the best cafe in Dalhousie for quality food. Roti sabzi types (Indian food) is not available. Best for Italian and Chinese food. Reasonably priced. We were in Dalhousie for 5 days and ate in this place for 3 days. It is located in main Gandhi market. In the evening they have live counters for dosa, stuffed chilla, shakes, etc... They have vada pav too.Service: QuickStaff: GoodRecommended: pizza, stuffed chilla, homemade cakes, Nutella waffle, pasta. Cons: no washroom available in the restaurant.

We decided to eat late lunch at Punjabi Rasoi after spending time at Khajjiar. Don't be fooled by the good reviews. This place is not worth visiting for meals.It's not a walkable distance from main place. If you don't have a car then don't plan to go there. The restaurant didn't even have fans (we were told that they don't need fans or A/C). It was ver hot inside so there was no other option than to sit outside. Outside tables were coated with dirt and dust and it looked like they were not cleaned for months. We had to wait for 10-15 mins to get tables and chairs cleaned. There was just one toilet and it was worse than public toilets. We checked with waiter what can be prepared quickly and ordered three dishes with some roties and then kept waiting. It took more than one hour for food to arrive. Meanwhile not even water was served in spite of asking for it multiple times. Everyone was super hungry and we were kept waiting forever. It would have been great if they had told us upfront that they don't have enough staff to serve a big group. At least we could have gone to some other restaurant.In spite of horribly long wait, food was disaster. Butter chicken tasted like it was cooked in tomato sauce. I wonder how this restaurant got such great reviews. Food and service both are pathetic.Please avoid this place.
