Things to do in Bloomingdale
I hadn't been in Glendale Heights - a far western suburb of Chicago - in years. Once a mostly-white bedroom community, it now enjoys greater diversity, with Mexican, Filipino, Vietnamese and other ethnic eateries to show for it.El Tesoro was an unexpected treat. Tucked away in a strip mall by busy Bloomingdale Road (free parking), it doesn't seem like much from the outside. Inside, though, you're welcomed by a hypnotizing aquarium, big-screen TVs with soccer en espanol, wooden ceilings and cool recessed neon lighting above turquoise walls. We were there for a Sunday lunch and the place was packed with locals speaking Spanish. Always a sign of an authentic dining experience.Large menu with specialties from the Nayarit region, decent prices, friendly service. My enchiladas mole were very good. The mole had a nice zing to it, not too sweet, although a little runny for my taste. Still, I would go to El Tesoro again.

What can I say about the taste? It's a typical Taco Bell. Nothing overly special, service about on average for fast food locations. They consistently get my order correct, so a better Taco Bell in that regards. If you want taco Bell, this one is a good one.

This is on the north side of Stratford Square and has only been in business a few months. We live in the area and have recently started to eat here. It is a fast food restaurant since it was in an old Burger King that was closed a couple years ago. Great Mexican food though. Really tasty. Everything we have tried has been great. My favorite so far is the pulled pork burrito.

Even though the take out door was locked I went thru the restaurant to takeout and ordered, They took my order and prepared it quickly the food was absolutely delicious. Very pleasant staff.
Can't believe this place wasn't listed on Trip Advisor - they will probably need a bigger storefront now that I added them and am reviewing them :)EXCELLENT steak tacos - and we LOVE the salsa bar....one of the best dishes they have is the elotes.... best one I've found in the area so far. Interesting twist on the steak tacos - grilled red onions. Typically you get raw onions and cilantro on a Mexican style taco - this was different, but really good! The place is a little small - which with as busy as they've been the few times we have been there is a little concerning because you never know if you'll get a seat....this is a good and bad thing. They have a few taco options that have an Indian fusion thing going on - I haven't eaten an entire taco, but I did taste one my husband had - and it was pretty good. Not exactly the combination one would expect, but it works. This is a place where you pay before you sit down, but you do get chips and salsa at the table - and you don't pay extra for it. They do serve you at the table when your food is ready. Highly recommended.

At La Hacienda De Los Fernandez, all of our food products are made on site. Each day we bake tortillas and prepare fresh salsa and chips. Every dish is prepared to order for your pleasure. Dishes primarily from the Northern border towns and also recipes f
Starting with the usual corn chips and salsa. Mild and just right hot. Followed queso with chorizo. I had fajitas (beef, shrimp, chicken) my coworker had enchiladas. Both were exceptional. Good thing the hotel was close and down hill. Will go here again on my next visit.
Bowl, burrito or tacos...there are plenty of combos no matter what you pick. White or brown rice, veggies, guacamole, cheese, and much more to add-on to several choices of meats. Just because it's fast food doesn't mean it can't be healthy and tasty.

Nicely crisp and fresh chips with spicy salsa was a great start. We were a table of eight and arrived around 2:30P. Place was empty and service was great. Zero complaints from any of us. The Quesadilla was H U G E!!! Mole was good. All of the portions were very large and the prices were very reasonable. We had a pitcher of Margaritas and eight entrees; $85 before tip. A great deal and delicious food.
