I didn't know about this burger until a friend told me, as I usually do the drive up window. I had mentioned how I love the breakfast burger at Applebee's, and he asked me if I had ever had the Steak'n'Shake Royal. Well, I hadn't, but it has quickly taken the number one position in my "best burger" book. It is truly a meal on a bun. Two steak burgers with bacon, cheese and an egg--YUM! My hubby and I get ours with everything but pickle. I think I heard angels singing : ) !

This is a good place to stop if you want a quick burger. As a general rule, they are pretty quick to get your meal out to you. You should be sure to try the side-by-side shakes for a cool treat.

By far the Best wings & The Best staff. They put the love in their food at this family owned eatery. They are welcoming and friendly and You feel like family when you are there not to mention the food is A+. I recommend this place all the time to everyone I know that loves wings.

So I go into U-dogs for 2 chicago style hot dogs. I've had them many times. Excellent tasting dogs, fresh buns and great toppings. I smell the barbeque and decide to try something different. WOW!! Best barbeque sandwich I've had in a very long time!. Homemade sweet and smoky flavor topped with a dry slaw... taste was out of the park!! Fresh cut fries piping hot, and a cold pop. Unexpected awesome lunch. I have a new favorite spot in town. It on the west end on Millikins campus. Very affordable and great food made fresh. I highly recommend.

Tastey's has good gyros, reminding me of the ones we used to get in Chicago. The portions are generous and the meat is perfectly seasoned. They usually have specials on gyros after 4:00 so that's when we normally visit.

Apparently THIS is the place to eat hamburgers in Decatur, IL. I had read other reviews online and headed there. I wasn't sure if they took cash only, but this place accepts debit cards.I ordered a double cheeseburger with fries and a drink. I also got frozen lemon custard. The burger was good, it was worth my time and I would recommend it. The fries were fresh, hot and delicious. The lemon custard had a nice tang to it and I really enjoyed it! I would go back just for the custard, honestly. Overall a cute, quaint hamburger stop. I don't know if this is a place that I would write home to mom about or stop for JUST to get them, but still good.

Decatur native here. Krekels is a burger joint. This location recently built a new building with a bigger dinning room. I have yet to eat in because with toddlers, we frequent the drive through. My standard order is "cheeseburger with everything including lettuce and tomato (it's extra for those fancy toppings), bag of fries and a vanilla shake". Seriously, this is like a Decatur staple so it's a must have while in town.
