The food was OK (as expected, but we like it occasionally). This particular restaurant has no business being in business. The manager pretended not to speak English. We were there for dinner. They had Grayâs Anatomy on all the televisions. I have an 8 year old and a 6 year old. We asked him to change the channel. The basketball tourney is on CBS, so we asked for that (not knowing if they had DirecTV or cable or what). In broken English he says he needs to find the remote. Time passes and he's doing everything but. Then we asked again, please change the channel or turn off the TV. We don't want to watch people being operated on while we are eating and regardless it is not an appropriate show for smaller children. By the way, we were the only ones in the restaurant. He never did change the channel. The restaurant was freezing. The ceiling fans were on. There was nowhere to get warm. We did not even finish our meals. As we were leaving we sarcastically said "thank you for putting on family friendly TV". The manager says "thank you. have a nice day". Excuse me? We've been to this particular shop before. Never again. We'll drive all the way to Mundelein if we want Long John Silvers again. Now that I am writing this, maybe there's a reason we were the only ones there at dinner time.

We come here as often as possible. There is a huge selection of fish you can have prepared in a variety of ways.....blackened, grilled, fried, etc. The grilled octopus is the very best I've ever had....very tender, perfectly seasoned with just a touch of balsamic glazing. Its served with basil, grilled tomato slices and fresh mozzarella cheese. If you order one thing here, you have to order the broiled oysters. They are so fantastic. We can't get enough. We order a dozen and then another 1/2 a dozen. We just cant help ourselves. . They have the best friend shrimp I've ever had. The smoked salmon bruschetta is amazing. Their soups are incredible. We had the cioppino yesterday and it was the very best cioppino I have ever had. the broth was light and perfectly seasoned, so flavorful. It had a huge helping of mahi mahi, clams, mussels, calamari, chucks of celery. Its just toooooo perfect. We have had amazing meals here each and every time. The service is great. We will come as often as possible. Ames behind the bar is a delightful person. I just cant say enough about this place.

Have to admit I didnât know what a fish boil is and coming from the west coast, thought it would contain a variety of fish. It very well may have but it all looked like the same pieces of white fish. Yes, it was tasty, but a plateful of boiled fish seems strange to me. We also ordered the bbq chicken, 2 pieces served at a time unless you ask for more. I could see the giant bbq area outside but that made me wonder all the more why the chicken comes drenched in bbq sauce. Guess I just have to get on board with the WI interpretation of what bbq chicken is. Again, the chicken was good but prefer adding my own sauce if I want it.An old Victorian looking home has been converted to dining rooms with a buffet line on each of the two floors. A server dishes out your food with choices including boiled potatoes, creamy close slaw, fish, chicken, or ribs, or a combo of fish and ribs. My recollection is fish and chicken dinners are $15 each, ribs are $16, and the combo plate $19. CASH ONLY. An ATM located in the restaurant. Pick your main course and pay for it before being seated. No switching main courses. Hubby and I each chose different items then tasted from one anotherâs plate.Dinner also comes with bread and butter, and apple slice pastry for desert, a sign beside the pastry says something to the effect of one per diner. A full bar is available but we all drank water. Not sure if dinner includes any other beverage. Go through the buffet line as often as you like. Rooms are very dimly lit. No reservations accepted. Expect a brief wait if you come 20-30 minutes after opening. For a place that serves buffet style I expected more than aluminum pans with warmers to keep food hot. You may wait for main dishes to be restocked on the line. Hubby went back 3 times before he could get fish boil seconds. I can see how popular a place this is but frankly, I just donât get it.

Took family here for birthday dinner. Love the quaint atmosphere. Servers are all so friendly and helpful. Never had a bad meal. But the Broadway Shrimp was AMAZING. Definitely a place we will return to again and again!

My husband and I went here for dinner one night. Ample parking. Service was phenomenal. And the food was soooooo delicious. We ordered the combo A along with a pound of mussels. Paper towel roll at the table for your dirty mess. A long hands free sink next to the dining area. Which is awesome after eating with your hands.
