P.F. Chang's is a restaurant concept that honors the 2,000-year-old Asian tradition of wok cooking and believes in making food from scratch every day in every restaurant. With a Farm to Wok food philosophy at its core, P.F. Chang's chefs hand-roll dim sum
To be fair to the servers, it seemed that there were glitches. We received a deal via e-mail and it did not work at first. Servers seemed somewhat listless and unsmiling, although relatively congenial. The food was delicious and the drink was as well and the final check was lower than expected. I just got the impression that all was not right at P.F. Changâs and I think that with a little fine tuning and smiles, it could be perfect.

This is a small local place in Ravinia. It's take out only although they do have a couple of tables set up inside but to be honest, I've never seen anyone eat here. Their menu is pretty standard Chinese/Schezwan fare. One of our favorites is the chicken wings on the appetizer menu. They run out of these fairly quickly. They are tasty and deep fried. No sauce per se, but still good. We also like the pork on the appetizer menu but we stay clear of most of the other appetizers. We almost always get chicken and pea pods which isn't on the menu but they make it regardless. Another favorite is the crispy shrimp which isn't really crispy, but more like the traditional shrimp and walnuts without the walnuts. i.e: it's shrimp in the mayo sauce, creamy but definitely not crispy. We tried the shrimp in lobster sauce but the shrimps were small and not very plentiful and the sauce was a bit gelatinous. Tasty but I'd probably not order it again. I like the special fried rice which has chicken, pork and shrimp. Our kids (adult) like the sweet and sour chicken which is little pieces of deep fried chicken and a tasty sauce on the side. For the most part, we order half orders wherever possible. They tend to be large and more than enough. They have a very large and inexpensive lunch menu as well. Pretty average food with a few options that stand out.

Walking around downtown Highland Park on a Friday night....What to eat? Hmmmm something smells good. What is that? Oh it's the next generation Chinese Restaurant at the corner of Elm Place and Second St. Green Panda. Let's give it a try!Though the smells lured us in, the food was only okay. Might have been what we chose. I might be willing to give it another try sometime. We ordered the Pepper steak tomato and the shrimp in lobster sauce. Both were extremely bland. Maybe something from the Schezaun category next time. The Panda Bar next door is a different restaurant with a different menu and vibe. Don't confuse the two.

Been here before and still remain unimpressed..... sadly, few great Chinese restaurants in the area??Pot stickers were underfilled, egg rolls pretty good, mu shu beef tasted a bit off, chicken with vegetables was the best of the lot but the chicken was hardly identifiable in the dish, and then curry chicken in mild sauce which wasnât as good as a Kang panang ...Friends live near here and occasionally, like last night, order in when we are guests.... wouldnât return on my own dime!

I especially recommend the home style tofu, which I haven't found anywhere else.Lunch specials. Street and lot parking
