Nothing here is exceptional but everything is good, nothing special but all ok. Good variety, good idea with American And Chinese food. Not a bad value for all you get.

The food is good, but they will leave uneaten lunch food on the buffet all day and night. Their sushi is excellent, but it's much better at lunch (fresher.) Between 7:30 and 8:00 p.m., the staff becomes much more concerned about cleaning than service. However, the food is good so I keep going back.

Fujiyama is the best sushi place in Southern Illinois, but there isn't really any comparison. There are several good specialty rolls and the service is also usually good. It is pretty expensive though. The restaurant itself is inside of an empty mall, so the location is terrible. The inside of the restaurant is dirty. There are gross peeling stickers on the windows that show pictures of the food. There are always sugar packets stuck to the windows also.

Asian Star is an excellent Asian eatery. They have a great selection with competitive prices. Their online ordering is very comprehensive and fun to use. The interior was truly remodeled and is clean and well organized though not decorated. Easily Marion's best choice for Asian. NOT A BUFFET.

Baan Thai Marion

My wife and I visited there this past Friday evening for the first time. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The food was very good at a very good price. It is not fancy, but it is a very nice little place to eat. And, we will be back. I had pineapple and shrimp curry at a medium heat level. It was excellent!

My wife and I make it over to Thai D for dinner at least once a month. For a while, we were going once a week or more! We're both creatures of habit, so I've only had a few things on the menu. The Pad Thai is excellent, but honestly, Pad Thai is about the same everywhere. My go-to is the Pad Kee Mao at a level 10 - which often comes out more like a 6 or 7, but occasionally is really a 10. I think next time I'm going to order it at a 15 to get the point across. My wife goes back and forth between the Pineapple Fried Rice and the Pad Thai, and has never been disappointed. There are 2 other Thai restaurants in the area, but don't waste your time. This is the best.
