Tucked away in a strip mall near the train, this restaurant in unpretentious and wonderful. Everything we had was delicious. Small dining room, but take out is brisk, and for a good reason. BYOB makes this a bargain beyond compare.

I'll just admit right up front that I've never even tried anything other than the Pad Thai but I return again and again for that delicious offering. Mai Thai has the best Pad Thai I've ever had anywhere and believe me, I have it a lot. I love that they will adjust the spice level to your personal preference. Be careful though, because their idea of spicy and your idea of spicy can be very different. I love super spicy food but I order my Pad Thai at Mai Thai between mild and medium and it's plenty spicy! I always order extra peanuts and lime slices too. The servings are generous and I can get at least two and sometimes three meals from one order of Pad Thai. My family and friends have tried several dishes here and everyone has been really pleased. My daughter especially likes the Red Curry. We usually do carry-out but you can also order at the counter and eat there if you prefer. It's good authentic Thai food. You won't be disappointed.

Took my adult daughter for a birthday lunch last week at this venue. Conveniently located in downtown Wheaton, this establishment is the best. Our server was gracious and the inside depicted original Asian culture. We ordered two of the featured appetizers along with two lunches that were the establishment's most favorite dishes. For those of you that go "gluten free"...be happy as this place has a lot of those offerings! Food was delicious and the hospitality equally gracious. We enjoyed a leisure time of talk in a quiet and cozy atmosphere unrushed by the world outside. This is a definite "gem" in Wheaton which is always "full" of eclectic venues. Can't wait to go back!Mary M.Hobart, IN

I don't usually order soup in a restaurant. However, my husband has been ordering their Tom Kha Kai soup with chicken every time we go there. So I decided to try it. AMAZING! The best we have ever had in any Thai restaurant. All of their food is good but this soup is outstanding.

I have been twice to this restaurant for lunch, and have found the food to be very fresh and flavorful. On both occasions, the wait staff have been very friendly, so that they almost felt like a new friend! Today, another customer was sitting at the bar for her lunch, chatting with the owner, who was also our waitress. The lunch special is a great deal: for $9, you pick an entree, soup, appetizer and drink. I have had the basil chicken and panang chicken curry. Both had a nice sauce with a light kick, and enough to take home for another day. But we had to have some of the mango sticky rice as a light sweetness for dessert! This place is BYOB now, so you can save some more money that way. I love their potstickers and plan to buy some for carryout next time I need to bring an appetizer somewhere. It is located across from Wheaton Center, near the commuter lot and Adelle's restaurant. I will be back!!
