I've eating in there 2 times in the past 2 days because it was one of the pastor's places that he wanted us to eat. The history on the walls makes it a very Quaint and historical place. Atmosphere friendly waitresses friendly. The food Ain't that much & Ain't That Good. It's okay. I wouldn't drive across the country to come to this place but while I'm here in Belvidere it's an okay place to eat. They do serve ice cream with as part of your meal's dessert.

I come here for lunch at least once each week. Atmosphere is typical of Applebee's so always clean and reliable. What I like is the diverse menu and that they show the calorie content of all entrees. The lower calorie entrees are well represented and quite good. Give it a try.

My wife suggested a quick dinner before our daughters band concert nearby. After a mediocre visit a few years ago, I wasn't happy about her suggestion, but went along since it was Valentine's Day. First bad sign - there were only three other couples there. On Valentine's Day, I would have expected a crowd at 6:15 pm.Next bad sign - the smell was consistent with grandmas house. Not pleasant.I chose a table next to the window and hanging plants. There were a few small bugs; not entirely surprising given the number of plants in the dining area, but still kind of a turn off.When ordering, we asked a few questions about the menu. Our waitress seemed perturbed, giving us short, terse answers. She even walked away in the middle of taking our order, seemingly to stop herself before yelling at us or punish us for asking too many questions.We ended up sharing a BLT and cup of soup, not really wanting to spend any more time or money here. The sandwich was ok, with bacon overdone for my taste.We may return in a few years to give it another try, as we do know others who enjoy this place. Maybe it was just an off day, again.

My husband and I went there earlier this afternoon. I had to call them shortly after we got home because both our chicken sandwiches were raw. We then went back about 930pm and received 2 new chicken sandwiches and guess what... Raw again! Yup that was a total of 4 chicken sandwiches.
