We've been to this restaurant many times but tonight it was stellar. It almost seems like there are new owners. The service and food are great. The two young men who seem to be working the place are very attentive and have great attention to detail. The only negative comment is that the lights are too bright. A little lower would bring more ambience to the dining experience. We brought guests who had never been here before and they really enjoyed it and said they will come back soon.

Great for takeout!Best Chinese food within a sizable radius of downtown Palatine. Meat is well cooked, vegetables tend to be crispy. Portion size is huge. They make a lot of food and they make it quickly. For me... it is a great carry out option that we use relatively frequently when we want Chinese fare, when we are fine with leftovers, and we are looking for a healthy meal. Oh yes, they deliver as well - and quickly.
My wife and I went to the Dream Place for lunch and were pleasantly surprised by the decor as well as the food. The design befits an upscale Chinese restaurant especially when they use tablecloths for lunch. The napkins are paper however. One thing I have never seen is the use of disposable wood tips that go on a sleeve on chopsticks. The chopstick tips are in a sealed paper wrapper along with a toothpick. For lunch and I had Kung Pao fish filet and my wife had chicken with vegetables. Both came with an egg role that was very crispy but lacked flavor in the stuffing. The entrees however had excellent seasoning and the portions were more than generous. The lunch also included soup so I had hot and sour soup while my wife had egg drop. While the hot and sour soup was not distinctive the egg drop soup was one of the best weâve had. The decor and food was certainly above par and the service was good. Considering the prices the Dream Place offers excellent value. We will certainly return to try out their dinner menu and highly recommend it to others.

Very good Chinese food at affordable prices. Clean location with very friendly staff/owners. We tried a lot of different dishes and they all were great: chicken fried rice, orange chicken, beef mushroom, beef broccoli, shrimp egg, egg rolls, Crab Rangoon, sesame chicken everything was tasty, freshly prepared and hot.
